Street Fighter Wiki

Hooligan Suplex is Cammy's regular throw, introduced in Super Street Fighter II. This is also her move in Street Fighter × Tekken and Street Fighter IV. In Street Fighter V, this throw has been replaced with Gyro Clipper.

Also, in Ultra Street Fighter IV, Decapre's forward throw is visually similar to Hooligan Suplex. It is renamed as Shadow Suplex.

Description

CammyHooliganSuplex

Executed by pressing forward (or back) and Medium Punch or Heavy Punch while close to the opponent, Cammy goes behind the opponent and wraps her arms around their waist. Then she proceeds to shifts her body weight to lift the opponent and make them land on their upper shoulders or the back of their neck. In Street Fighter Alpha 3, the move is performed by pressing two punch buttons while near the opponent, while Capcom vs. SNK changed the input to only pressing Heavy Punch while close to the opponent.

Street Fighter IV and Street Fighter × Tekken both share the same input by pressing Light Punch and Light Kick simultaneously while near an opponent.

Tactics

slamming her opponent on the back of her neck using Hooligan Suplex.

Cammy slamming her opponent on the back of her neck using Hooligan Suplex.

Throwing is important to Cammy's overall gameplan. Her normals are usually positive on block and she also has an instant dive kick. Cammy also does not possess an overhead so throwing is the only way Cammy can force an opponent to stop blocking. Once the opponent starts trying to tech throws Cammy can punish for high damage. While this move has a faster startup than her back throw in Capcom vs. SNK, it inflicts less damage. Regardless, her Hooligan Suplex is a useful tool for close-range punishes and tick throws.

Trivia

  • Cammy is the only character from the Street Fighter II cast who lost access to their German suplex-style throw.
