Description[]

Hoshi Kujaku
"A multi-hit attack with a lenient input window for follow-ups."
Street Fighter 6

Executed by pressing back and Heavy Kick, followed by a second Heavy Kick. Mai delivers a double foot kick to the opponent's head. If the first attack connects, Mai follows up with a spin kick that knocks the opponent into the background before following up with another spin kick, knocking the opponent back into the foreground.

Tactics[]

MaiHoshiKujaku

This move is one of Mai's target combos. Hoshi Kujaku also inflicts more damage than her Hien Ren Kyaku. The first move of this combo has an 8-frame startup. It can serve as one of Mai's anti-air attacks. It also forces a crouching opponent to stand if the first kick hits. It is also -1 on block, making it difficult to punish.

If the first kick hits the opponent, Mai can link into the second Heavy Kick for additional damage. Hitting the opponent with the second kick puts both fighters into the background, making Mai fully invincible while in this state. It also puts the opponent in a juggle state, allowing Mai to follow up with her Level 1 Super Art. However, the target combo is -12 on block, leaving Mai vulnerable to a Punish Counter.
