Hozen

Hozen is one of Gen's throws, introduced in the Street Fighter IV series.

Description

Gen striking the pressure point on Cammy's back using Hozen.

Executed by pressing Light Punch and Light Kick, (the throw command) and pushing backwards near an opponent. Gen first grabs the opponent by their front wrist, while placing his opposite hand on their back. As he whips his opponent to the other side, Gen spins and sneaks behind the opponent, throwing them off balance and saying "no use!". Finally, Gen lunges behind the opponent and strikes a pressure point on their back to crumple them.

Tactics

While this throw inflicts less damage than his front throw, it has better range and leaves the opponent closer to Gen, giving him better okizeme. This move can be used to put the opponent back in the corner.. Gen can utilize his throws to break through the opponents defenses and push them closer to the corner. After knocking them down with Hozen, he can perform an Oga and potentially cross-up the opponent or put them in a guessing situation.
