Description
- "Set the immediate vicinity ablaze. Effective as an anti-air against jumping attacks or as part of a combo. Once performed, it adds five Flame stocks that boost the power of Mai's special moves and Super Arts."
- —Street Fighter 6

Mai burning Cammy using Kagerou no Mai.
Executed by performing two quarter-circle forward motions and pressing punch, Mai creates a pillar of fire around herself after putting her hands together, hitting the opponent eight times and burning them. At the cost of one Flame Stock to perform this move, Mai creates a pair of pseudo-clones that line up beside her. After performing various hand signs and finally placing them together, the clones are set ablaze and revolve around Mai and draw toward her. As a result, Mai creates a fiery tornado to hit the opponent twelve times and blasting them away.
Tactics
Because it is a Level 1 Super Art, it can be cancelled from her normals. Kagerou no Mai can be used as a low cost reversal option. In Street Fighter 6, it grants her five Flame Stocks, which empower her Special Moves and her Super Arts outside of her Level 3. Performing this move is the only way for Mai to accumulate Flame Stocks. While her Level 3 Super Art optimizes Mai's damage output, using Kagerou no Mai amplifies her offensive pressure and potency. The next five special moves or Super Art she performs gains a damage buff. Her projectile grants her frame advantage while boosted with the Flame Stock.
