Description[]
Executed by pressing forward and Heavy Punch, Akira pivots toward her opponent and spreads her arms out wide, performing a palm strike with her leading hand.
Tactics[]
This move is one of Akira's mid-range pokes. It slightly moves her forward and can be used to keep his opponent at a distance. Even though it has a 14-frame startup, Kaihosho is one of Akira's Crush Counter moves. If she scores a Crush Counter hit with this attack, it puts the opponent in a crumple state, allowing her to link into Crouching or Standing Medium Punch for a follow-up combo. Akira can also cancel Kaihosho into her V-Trigger or Critical Art. While this move is -5 on block, it can be difficult for her opponent to punish if spaced correctly.
Most notably, Kaihosho's Crush Counter crumple makes it one of the few ways to land a raw Tsutenda, building incredible V-Gauge from both the crumple and the subsequent combo.
