Description[]

KillRush
"A technique that allows you to quickly move forward. Two different types of attacks are possible during the technique, which are timing dependent."
Street Fighter 6

Executed by pressing (forward and) two kick buttons, Ed performs a ducking dash forward for a couple of steps with his guard up and body shrouded with Psycho Power. Pressing back and two kick buttons has Ed shuffling backwards.

During this, he can follow up with the special moves below.

Kill Switch Break[]

"Unleash a short uppercut from Kill Rush. Useful for attacking while closing the distance on an opponent."
Street Fighter 6
Input
Classic Neutral or Arcade-Stick-Right+Arcade Button 2xKick>Arcade-Stick-Right+Arcade Button Punch
(During the first half of Kill Rush Forward)
Modern Neutral or Arcade-Stick-Right+Modern M+Modern H>Arcade-Stick-Right+Modern Button

Description[]

KillSwitchBreak

The Kill Switch Break (キルスイッチ・ブレイク Kirusuicchi: Bureiku?) is executed by pressing forward and any punch during the first step of Kill Rush. Ed performs a stiff body uppercut with his front fist, launching the opponent slightly. This move is used to close the distance and quickly attack the opponent as early as possible. While it inflicts similar damage to his other follow-up, Kill Switch Break is -4 on block. It can also be used during juggle combos from one of his target combos. On hit, Ed can perform another Kill Rush toward the opponent and get solid okizeme on their recovery.

Kill Switch Chaser[]

"Unleash a powerful uppercut from Kill Rush. The opponent is launched into the air when this connects, making it easy to string together a combo."
Street Fighter 6
Input
Classic Neutral or Arcade-Stick-Right+Arcade Button 2xKick>Arcade-Stick-Right+Arcade Button Punch
(During the latter half of Kill Rush Forward)
Modern Neutral or Arcade-Stick-Right+Modern M+Modern H>Arcade-Stick-Right+Modern Button
(During the latter half of Kill Rush Forward)

Description[]

KillSwitchChaser

The Kill Switch Chaser (キルスイッチ・チェイス Kirusuicchi: Cheisu?, Kill Switch - Chase) is executed by pressing forward and any punch during the second step of Kill Rush. Ed performs a stiff uppercut with his rear fist, launching the opponent and spins them out. Compared to the other follow-up, Kill Switch Chaser has better range due to the timing of the attack. Ed also has better knockdown advantage after hitting the opponent with this move, giving him a plethora of follow-up options to maintain offensive pressure. It can also be used during juggle combos from one of his target combos. However, Kill Switch Chaser is -6 on block.

Tactics[]

"Perform a bob & weave while taking a step back. Useful for creating distance from the opponent while analyzing the situation."
Street Fighter 6

As a special move, Ed can cancel the startup of Psycho Knuckle with a forward Kill Rush or Psycho Flicker with either a forward or backward Kill Rush. Ed can counter attempts to intercept him during the charging animation with a dash, and with quick reactions, can even punish Drive Parry or Drive Impact attempts.

Kill Switch Break and Kill Switch Chaser both launch the opponent, deal the same amount of damage, and are equally unsafe on block, however their different startup speeds (22 and 24 frames minimum respectively) affect combo routes. Chaser can only be done naturally from Standing Heavy Punch outside of modifiers like Punish Counter or Drive Rush, but can be juggled into Heavy Psycho Blitz to compensate. Each follow-up can be cancelled into his Level 3 Super Art for optimal damage.
