Kyukyoku Tenchi Gado Zuki (究極天地我道突き Kyuukyoku Tenchi Gadou Zuki?, "Ultimate Heaven & Earth Self Way Thrust") is one of Dan's special attacks in SNK vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos.

It is a parody version of Ryo Sakazaki's Tenchi Haohken (天地覇煌拳 Tenchi Haou Ken?, "Heaven & Earth Supreme Sparkle Fist").

All appearances Arcade Stick QCBArcade Stick QCB+Arcade Button Punch x2

Description[]

Dan akin to Ryo's technique, winds up via holding his leading hand outward and his following fist beside him at his waist, then in one single step, thrust-punches forward with his following fist much like the aforementioned Tenchi Haoh Ken. However, if it connects, Dan punches the opponent so hard that he breaks the bones in his hand, and needs some time to tend to it; Dan then recovers with a glittering-teeth smile with no signs of worry afterwards.

During the startup period, it has autoguard properties that are able to block any attack, even normally unblockable moves, but does not do much damage and has an extremely long recovery time. However, the punch cannot be blocked, and it sends the opponent to the other side of the screen if it hits successfully, giving Dan enough time to recover if he's far from the corner.

Tactics[]

Do not let its parody status fool you: in the right timing, it can become unblockable especially after absorbing hits. Use it to expand space between you and the enemy, as it also causes a large recovery time for its victims, unless the ground recovery command is inputted by the victim at the right time. It is ironically more powerful and useful but only if performed at the right moment where it absorbs hits and counterattacks.

Trivia[]

  • This attack reappears in the Street Fighter IV series as Dan's forward throw, simply referred to as Gado Thrust.
