List of hidden cheats and/or codes. Throughout the Street Fighter series, there are hidden secrets that can only be found via a button combination or a secret unlocking method.

Street Fighter[]

The following is for the PC Engine CD-ROM² System version titled Fighting Street.

  • Easy Special Moves, Stage Select, and 7 Credits: The player needs to place in the high scores and enter .SD as their initials. Then at the title screen, hold Left, Button I, and Button II and press Select. The code will work if 7 credits are displayed at the title screen. A stage select menu appears upon starting the game which includes the ending, and Special Moves can be performed easily by holding Forward (for Hadoken), Down/Forward (for Shoryuken) and Back (for Tatsumaki Senpukyaku) and pressing Select.
  • Bonus Ending Sequence: This version has an additional scene where Ryu/Ken leave in the airport upon completion of the game. Finishing the game four times in a row displays Ryu/Ken arriving at their destination where they are received by a bunch of cameramen. Using the code above and seeing the ending four times results in this as well.

Street Fighter II series[]

The following includes The World Warrior, Champion Edition, Hyper Fighting, The New Challengers, and Grand Master Challenge.

  • Display Character and Credits Usage (For both previous SFII iterations before Hyper Fighting): This arcade-only code is entered during a fight following the attract sequence (mostly Blanka vs Guile in The World Warrior and M. Bison vs Sagat in Champion Edition). The player have to press Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, MP, LP on the 2P side to display a row of numbers. The top numbers are for a number of coins inserted in the machine, the bottom numbers display the number of times each fighter has been selected in the game.
  • Button Configuration Screen (For Street Fighter II’s 16-bit ports): Before the first match in Arcade Mode, the player can hold down the Select button to open the button configuration screen to make last-minute changes. Hold Start if playing Street Fighter II’ Plus (the Genesis/MegaDrive port). From Street Fighter II’ Turbo (the Super Famicom/Super Nintendo port), it can be done before any match. In any game, it can be done before any match in any game mode, except the original SFII's Arcade Mode, which only works after character selection.
  • Remove Vitality Gauge Display (SFII’s SFC/SNES ports only): Enter Option Mode and press Start to return to the attract sequence, repeat 27 times. Then select Game Start or V.S. Battle. The title music will continue playing and the vitality gauges and sound will disappear from the game. The game locks up after one round is completed, the player has to reset the game.
  • Enter Championship Mode (SFII’s SFC/SNES ports only): At the Capcom symbol, press Down, R, Up, L, Y, and B in order (in the Super Famicom port, the code is Down, R, Up, L, Y, B, X, A). If done correctly, a sound will be heard to confirm to correct entry. This will give the title screen and every fighter a different color scheme. For the code to work, the player needs to hit reset on the console, however. Since hitting reset in the Virtual Console is the same as hitting the Power button, this doesn't work on the Wii Virtual Console release.
  • View Each Character Profile (SFII’s SFC/SNES ports only): When Ryu's (or any character's) profile is displayed on the screen, hold both L and R buttons on controller 2. When it disappears, the profile of the next character will be displayed. Keep holding to continue displaying profiles.
  • Street Fighter II' Turbo - Hyper Fighting codes (SNES): Down, R, Up, L, Y, B
    • Enter the code at the Capcom logo screen to disable Special Moves for a single-player game.
    • Enter the code as the SFII logo is spinning (on controller 2) to enable more speed settings for Turbo mode.
    • Enter the code at the Handicap and Stage Select screen (on controller 2) to enter the Special Moves screen where players can enable and disable any (or all) Special Moves they want. The player can then enter this screen by pressing Start on controller 2 at any point.
    • In the Japanese version, the code is Down, R, Up, L, Y, B, X, A
  • Street Fighter II' - Special Champion Edition codes: Down, Z, Up, X, A, Y, B, C
    • Enter the code at the Capcom screen to disable normal Punch and Kicks in a single-player game. Only throws and Special Moves are available to the player..
    • Enter the code as the building in the opening sequence is fading out to enable a total of five speed settings for Champion Edition.
    • Enter the code at the first Group Battle screen (on controller 2) to enable the same character to be selected twice.
    • When the game is completed on difficulty level 8, a picture of Ryu (Champion Mode) or Chun-Li (Hyper Mode) appears at the end of the credits. Input the code to change their outfit color. If entered three times, they change to the color of the other mode (Ryu changes to Hyper Fighting colors, Chun-Li to Champion Edition colors).
    • If using a 3 button controller, the code is entered as Down, C, Up, A, A, B, B, C
  • Character Colors (Super Street Fighter II): Each button, including the Start button, selects a different outfit color. There is also an eighth color chosen by holding down any attack button for a few seconds, except the Start button. In Hyper Street Fighter II, it is possible to select the eighth color by holding the Start button. In Super Street Fighter II Turbo Revival (GBA), Akuma and Shin Akuma were given a new set colors based on these (six were taken from their Street Fighter Alpha 3 counterparts in addition to new ones).
  • Choose the same character a total of eight times (For Super Street Fighter II’s 16-bit ports): In the Genesis/MegaDrive ports, start the Group Battle mode and on controller 2 press A, B, A, B, A, B, B, A. Players can now select the same character a total of 8 times. In the SFC/SNES ports, press L, R, L, R, L, R, R, L on controller 2.
  • Select SUPER (Classic) characters (Super Street Fighter II Turbo): Hit the following combinations on the joystick after choosing a character, ending with LP (or LP+LK for the original Classic color:
    • Classic Ryu - Right, Right, Right, Left
    • Classic Ken - Left, Left, Left, Right
    • Classic E. Honda- Up, Up, Up, Down
    • Classic Chun-Li - Down, Down, Down, Up
    • Classic Blanka - Right, Left, Left, Left
    • Classic Zangief - Left, Right, Right, Right
    • Classic Guile - Up, Down, Down, Down
    • Classic Dhalsim - Down, Up, Up, Up
    • Classic Balrog (M. Bison) - Right, Left, Left, Right
    • Classic Vega (Balrog) - Left, Right, Right, Left
    • Classic Sagat - Up, Down, Down, Up
    • Classic M. Bison (Vega) - Down, Up, Up, Down
    • Classic Fei Long - Left, Left, Right, Right
    • Classic Cammy - Up, Up, Down, Down
    • Classic T. Hawk - Right, Right, Left, Left
    • Classic Dee Jay - Down, Down, Up, Up
  • Unlock Akuma (Super Street Fighter II Turbo): On the character select screen, highlight Ryu, wait three seconds. Then highlight T. Hawk, Guile, Cammy and Ryu, waiting three seconds between each selection. Highlight any character, press Start and all three Punch buttons simultaneously. This video should help with timing.
  • Face Akuma (Super Street Fighter II Turbo): Reach M. Bison without losing a match. In Hyper Street Fighter II, the player cannot lose a single round.
  • Unlock Akuma (For the 3DO port of Super Street Fighter II Turbo): Enter Versus Battle. At the character select screen hold A+B+C+L+R+P. Hold down all those buttons until the Handicap and Stage Select screen appears. Akuma will be displayed as the player's character when this screen appears.
  • Select SUPER (OLD) Characters (Super Street Fighter II Turbo, Street Fighter Collection): Select character with any button and then press Select. In the Saturn version, hold down button R after selecting a character. In Versus Mode, cancel selection holding both L2+R2 (L+R on Saturn).
  • Unlock Akuma (Super Street Fighter II Turbo, Street Fighter Collection): Select Ryu with L1, then press R1 while holding L1. In the Saturn version, select Ryu with L, then press R while holding L.
  • Street Fighter Collection 2 unlockables: Clear the Arcade Mode to unlock some new bonus features:
    • Clear SFII and Champion Edition once to unlock a series of art from Super SFII and Super Turbo, respectively.
    • Clear SFII Turbo once to unlock a Sound Remix test. Clearing each SFII game once unlocks this Sound Remix option on their Option menu to be used in the game.
    • Clear each game once to unlock the Deluxe Vs. Mode (Super Vs. Mode in Capcom Generations 5). This mode was the basis for the sixth game in the Street Fighter II series: Hyper Street Fighter II.
    • Clear each game without losing a match to unlock the CPU Battle mode.
  • Unlock Akuma (For both the Dreamcast port of Super Street Fighter II Turbo and Super Street Fighter II Turbo: HD Remix Classic Mode): Highlight Ryu, press Start and then hit all 3 Punch buttons simultaneously. Pressing all 3 Punch buttons and a Kick button selects Akuma's alternate color.
  • EX Option menu (Dreamcast Super Turbo): Hold Z+L while highlighting Options and press A.
  • Secret Option menu (Dreamcast Super Turbo): Clear Arcade Mode and beat Akuma (Gouki) as all Normal (Super Turbo) and Super (OLD) characters. Highlight Options, hold Y and press Start to enter the Secret Option menu.
  • Unlock Shin Akuma (Dreamcast Super Turbo): Enter the Secret Option menu. Change the switch of the 3rd row located on the 9th column to 1. Now head to the character select screen, highlight Ryu, press Start and then hit all 3 Kick buttons simultaneously. Pressing all 3 Kick buttons and a Punch button selects Shin Akuma's alternate color.
  • Unlock Ten Akuma (Dreamcast Super Turbo): Enter the Secret Option menu. Change the switches located 8th and 9th column of the 3rd row to 1. Head to the character select screen and highlight Ryu. Press Start and then simultaneously press MP+MK+HP+HK. Press MP+HP and all 3 Kick buttons select Ten Akuma's alternate color.
  • Play on bonus stages in VS modes (Dreamcast Super Turbo): the random select question marks and the bonus stages must be enabled for this to work. After selecting characters the person who selects the stage must highlight one of the question marks and hold start while selecting the question mark. The stage will still be random but there is a possibility of the fight taking place on a bonus stage.
  • Unlock Art Gallery (GBA Super Turbo): When the Capcom logo appears, press Up, Down, Left, Right, Left, Down, Up, B, A, Start.
  • Versus Point Unlocks (GBA Super Turbo): Versus Points are earned as the player wins matches. When a certain amount is reached, the following features are unlocked:
    • 500-1000 = Time Attack mode (also unlocked if Arcade mode is completed twice). Survival Mode is unlocked by clearing Arcade mode once.
    • 5000 = Akuma
    • 8000 = Art Gallery (gallery is also unlocked by clearing Arcade Mode on difficulty level 8, with a character gallery also unlocking if a match is not lost. However, the Akuma glitch prevents the game from being completed this way).
    • 9999 = Shin Akuma. Once Shin Akuma is unlocked, the Versus Point counter will not increase past 9999.
  • Alternate OLD and Super Turbo characters (Hyper SFII): Highlight either, SUPER or SUPER T player type, hold Start and press any button. For SUPER T characters, this allows them to "store" certain moves, such as Chun-Li's Senretsukyaku and E. Honda's Oicho Throw. For SUPER characters, the Super Turbo logo will be displayed instead of the Super SFII logo.

Street Fighter Alpha series[]

Below covers Street Fighter Alpha, 2, 3, 3 Upper, and 3 Max.

Street Fighter Alpha: Warriors' Dreams[]

  • Unlock M. Bison (Street Fighter Alpha): Hold Start at the character select screen and highlight the Random Select box. Press Down, Down, Left, Left, Down, Left, Left + LP+HP (red) or LK+HK (black). Reverse Left to Right if Player 2.
    • In the PlayStation and Saturn versions, the code is entered by holding L2 (L+R on Saturn) and pressing Left, Left, Down, Down, Left, Down, Down + Square+Triangle/X+Y (X+Circle/A+B) for alternate color.
    • In the PlayStation and Saturn versions, if the difficulty is set to level 5 or higher and lose to M. Bison, he will be temporarily playable, highlight the random select box and press Down to display him.
  • Unlock Akuma (SFA): Hold Start at the character select screen and highlight the Random Select box. Press Down, Down, Down, Left, Left, Left + LP+HP (black) or LK+HK (red). Reverse Left to Right if Player 2.
    • In the PlayStation and Saturn versions, the code is entered by holding L2 (L+R on Saturn) and pressing Left, Left, Left, Down, Down, Down + Square+Triangle/X+Y (X+Circle/A+B) for alternate color.
  • Unlock Dan (SFA): Hold Start at the character select screen and highlight the Random Select box. Press LP, LK, MK, HK, HP, MP (pink) or HP, HK, MK, LK, LP, MP (green).
    • In the PlayStation and Saturn versions, this code can be done anywhere on the Player Select screen, not just the Random Select box. Hold L2 (L+R on Saturn), then press Triangle, Square, X, Circle, Triangle (Y, X, A, B, Y) or Triangle, Circle, X, Square, Triangle (Y, B, A, X, Y) for alternate color.
  • Dramatic Battle (SFA): Start a two-player game. Player 1 is highlighting Ryu and Player 2 Ken. Both players hold Start and press Up, Up. Both players then release Start and press Up, Up again. Player 1 then selects Ryu with LP and Player 2 selects Ken with HP. If Manual/Auto is turned ON, choose Manual mode. Ryu and Ken will be challenged by M. Bison. In the Saturn version, hold button L before entering the code. If they lose and both players want to try this again, Player 1 simply selects Ryu with LP and Player 2 selects Ken with HP. The whole code doesn't have to be re-entered. In the Saturn version, M. Bison must be defeated here to unlock the Team Mode on the mode menu. In the PlayStation version, clearing the game on difficulty level 5 or higher will be enough, even if Akuma is killed the easy way (see below).
  • Akuma Mode (SFA): Insert credit then begin the game by holding Start. While still holding Start, choose a character by holding both MP+MK. Hold these buttons while selecting Manual/Auto and Game Speeds (if enabled). Akuma will defeat the first opponent and fight the player for one match. In the Saturn version, hold L+R as when selecting Arcade Mode from the Mode menu, and then select a character and options by holding the shoulder buttons and B. In the PlayStation version, if Akuma is bested this way in difficulty level 5 or higher, Team Mode will be unlocked.
  • Select A Win Quote (SFA): When the player finishes an opponent in a match, hold Down and all 3 Punch or Kick buttons simultaneously to choose from two win quotes. The other two win quotes are chosen by holding Down and three buttons different for each fighter.
  • Permanently Unlock M. Bison, Akuma, and Dan (SFA): In the PlayStation and Saturn versions of SFA, it is possible to permanently unlock the three hidden characters:
    • M. Bison - Clear Arcade Mode and beat M. Bison on the highest difficulty setting (8). Chun-Li, Charlie, Guy, Birdie, Rose, and Akuma are the only characters who face M. Bison at the end of the game.
    • Akuma - Set the game difficulty to level 5 or higher. Select Arcade Mode and choose a character (Akuma cannot face himself) with Punch if player 1 or Kick if Player 2. Don't lose a single round, earn 10 Super Combo finishes and get 3 perfects. Akuma will replace the final boss. Defeat him to unlock him.
    • Dan - Set the game difficulty to level 6 or higher. Select Arcade Mode (Dan cannot fight against himself) and don't lose any rounds. At the end of each match, hold Down and all 3 Punch buttons to select the winning quote. Repeat 5 times and Dan challenges the player in the 6th stage. Defeat him, then clear Arcade Mode. In the PlayStation version, it is not necessary to clear Arcade Mode after defeating Dan. Akuma and Dan can be unlocked simultaneously provided the difficulty is set to Level 6 and defeat both Dan and Akuma in the Arcade Mode playthrough.

Street Fighter Alpha 2[]

  • Stage Select (SFA2]]): Play a single-player game and have a second player join in. The new challenger then highlights any character and holds Start (Select on PlayStation, in Arcade Mode only) for 2 seconds. Release Start and choose the character to play in the stage selected. There are also two Boss levels. For Venezuela, highlight M. Bison (Nash in Zero 2) and hold Start for 2 seconds, then choose a character without releasing Start. For Australia, do the same thing, but highlight Sagat instead.
  • Select Win Pose (SFA2): When the K.O. symbol is displayed at the end of a round, hold Start (Select on PlayStation versions) and any Punch or Kick button to choose a winning pose. Not all characters have six (most have a minimum of three win poses to choose from).
  • Character Colors (SFA2): The game has six colors for each character to choose from. Two more colors are available by pressing any two Punch or Kick buttons simultaneously (these colors are also available in the original SFA in Street Fighter Alpha Anthology). The last two colors are available by selecting Auto mode after selecting a character with Punch or Kick. In the Saturn version and Street Fighter Zero 2 Alpha, the six colors can be selected with any button.
  • Unlock SFII Chun-Li (SFA2): Highlight Chun-Li and hold Start for 5 seconds, then press any button (or any two Punch or Kick buttons) to change her to her SFII outfit. Remember that there are also two more colors if chosen in Auto mode. SFII Chun-Li uses her Super SFII command for her Kikoken.
  • Face the fighter's Mid-Boss (SFA2): Earn 5 Super or Custom Combo finishes. Don't lose a match, either. The message "Here Comes A New Challenger" will be displayed as the 6th stage begins at the earliest.
  • Face Shin Akuma (SFA2): Choose a character with any Punch button if Player 1 (LP in the Saturn version and Zero 2 Alpha) or any Kick if Player 2 (LK in the Saturn version and SFZ2A). Get 3 perfects and don't lose a single round, then reach the boss. The Vs. screen will not appear, instead, the background will be dimmed, and Shin Akuma will be standing there. Unlike in other games, defeating Shin Akuma here will make the player proceed to their normal boss.
  • Unlock Evil Ryu (US SFA2): Highlight Ryu, press, and hold Start. Press Right, Up, Down, Left. Then select Ryu with any button (or any two Punch or Kick buttons). When playing the Saturn version of the game, lose the battle and then save the game. Now Evil Ryu can be selected by simply holding Start for 5 seconds. This should apply to the two following cases described below.
  • Unlock EX Dhalsim (US SFA2): Highlight Dhalsim, press and hold Start. Move Left, Down, Right, Up, then select Dhalsim with any button (or any two Punch or Kick buttons).
  • Unlock EX Zangief (US SFA2): Highlight Zangief, press, and hold Start. Then press Down, Left, Left, Left, Left, Up, Up, Right, Right, Right, Right, Down. Select Zangief with any Punch or Kick button (or any two Punch or Kick buttons).
  • Unlock Shin Akuma (SFA2): Unlocking Shin Akuma differs between versions:
    • Sega Saturn - Highlight Akuma, press, and hold Start. Move Down, Down, Right, Down, Right, Down, Down, Down, Left, Down, Left, Down. Then press any button to choose Akuma. End the game by losing a match and then save the game to store Shin Akuma into the Saturn's memory. This way, the code does not have to be re-entered. Just hold Start for 5 seconds and press any button to select Shin Akuma.
    • PlayStation - Highlight Akuma, press, and hold Select. Then press Down, Right, Right, Down, Left, Down, Left, Down, Right, Right, Right. Finish with any Punch or Kick button (or any two Punch or Kick buttons for more colors). As above, lose the battle and then save the game to make selecting Shin Akuma a whole lot easier.
    • SFA Anthology - Highlight Akuma and hold Start for 5 seconds. Then press any button (or any two Punch or Kick buttons) to select Shin Akuma.
  • Dramatic Battle (SFZ2A): Insert credit and hold all 3 Kick buttons, then press Start. The character select screen will have a Street Fighter Zero 2 background and can choose two characters to face a single CPU opponent.
  • Survival (SFZ2A): Insert credit and hold all 3 Punch buttons, then press Start. If Ken is the first opponent afterward, then the player is in Survival mode.
  • Akuma Mode (SFZ2A): Insert credit and hold MP+MK, then press Start. The character select screen will now have a blue background. The player will face Shin Akuma for one credit.
  • EX Characters (SFZ2A): Highlight a character who was present in SFII Champion Edition and press Start once (twice with Chun-Li) to display their EX version. The characters are Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Sagat, M. Bison, Zangief, and Dhalsim.
  • More Characters (SFZ2A): Highlight the following characters and press Start the listed number of times:
    • SFII Chun-Li: Highlight Chun-Li, press Start once.
    • Evil Ryu: Highlight Ryu, press Start twice.
    • Special Sakura: Highlight Sakura, press Start five times.
  • Survival Mode Course Select (Saturn SFA2): On the Mode Menu screen, highlight Survival mode, hold L (to replace Chun-Li with her SFII version and fight Shin Akuma as the final opponent) or R (to fight M. Bison as the final opponent) then select Survival mode to play in the desired course. In SFA Anthology, hold L2 for the Shin Akuma course and L1 for the M. Bison course.
  • Infinite Custom Combo in Training Mode (Saturn SFA2): Select Training Mode from the Mode menu screen. Hold the L button and Start, then select the characters and settings. Keep holding L+Start until the match begins. The Custom Combo timer won't run out when the player initiates a Custom Combo. Switching characters or exiting Training mode removes the cheat.
  • Rapid Fire in Training Mode (Saturn SFA2): Select Training Mode from the Mode menu and hold R button and Start. Select the character and sparring partner and keep holding them down until the match begins. Now, holding any button will cause the player to punch or kick repeatedly. Can be combined with the code listed above.
  • Unlock Special Sakura (Saturn SFA2): Enter Survival Mode. Go to Sakura and press and hold Start. Then press Up, Left, Down, Left, Down, Right, Right, Down, Left, Left, Down, Down, Down, Right, Up, Up, Right. The cursor stops on Ryu. Press any button to choose Sakura in one of her SFZ2A/Street Fighter Alpha 2 Gold colors. If Evil Ryu is saved on the Saturn's memory, it will not work.
  • Unlock Shin Akuma (SFA2G): Highlight Akuma and press Start five times.
  • Unlock Cammy (SFA2G): Go into Arcade Mode and play as M. Bison (or his EX version). Earn the highest score and lose, clearing Arcade Mode is not necessary. Enter the initials CAM. Go into Versus Mode, highlight M. Bison, and press Start twice. In the Saturn version, Cammy can also be used in Training Mode.

Street Fighter Alpha 3[]

Arcade[]

  • These are unlocked on time-release, with all secrets unlocking after about five weeks the machine has been on. The color of the title screen background determines which secret has been revealed and are released in this order- Red, Green, Blue, Light Blue. There are also codes to unlock each of these without waiting, as described below:
    • RED (perform with cream title screen): Enter the test menu. Go to the input test. Press LP, LP, Right, LK, HP, Start+LP on the 1P side. The message "HERE COME NEW CHALLENGERS" will be displayed. This unlocks Balrog, Juli, and Juni.
    • GREEN (perform with red title screen): Enter the test menu and go into color test. Press LK (1P), HK (2P), MP (1P), MP (2P), Up (1P), Start+LP (1P). "TRADITIONAL FIGHT BEGINS" will appear on the screen, which unlocks Classic Mode.
    • BLUE (perform with green title screen): Enter the test menu. Visit game data and enter the following code: Right (2P), Down (2P), Left (1P), HK (2P), Right (1P), Down (1P), LP (2P), Up (1P), Start+LP (1P). A message appears on-screen saying "ENJOY NEW FIGHTING STYLE." This unlocks Mazi and Saikyō Mode.
    • LIGHT BLUE (perform with blue title screen): Enter the test menu and to crosshatch test, then hit the following: Down (2P), MK (1P), Right (2P), Down (1P), Right (2P), HP (2P), Down (1P), Left (2P), MP (1P), Right (2P), Up (1P), Down (1P), MK (2P), LK (1P), Start+LP (1P). A message will appear, "THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR LONG PLAYING." Survival, Dramatic Battle, and Final Battle can now be enabled.
      • Unlock Balrog: Balrog is enabled when the title screen is red or later. Move to Karin and wait 3 seconds. Highlight a random select spot, hold Start, and press any button.
      • Unlock Juli and Juni: They are unlocked when the title screen is red or later. Highlight Karin, wait for 3 seconds. To select Juli, highlight the random select box by holding Up if on top or Down if on the bottom, then press any attack button. To select Juni, move over to the random select by holding Left if it is located left, or Right if it is on the right, then press any attack button.
      • Classic Mode: When the title screen is colored green or later, insert coin and hold HP+HK, then press Start to begin the game. The selected character will be in X-ISM without his or her Super Combo Gauge.
      • Mazi Mode: When the title screen background is blue or later, insert credit. Hold MP+MK and press Start to begin. When a match begins, an L.O. (Limit Off) indicator appears at the bottom to confirm that the player is Mazi Mode.
      • Saikyō Mode: When the title screen is blue or later, insert credit, hold LP+LK and start the game. After choosing a character, their name will be colored pink instead of blue to indicate that they are assigned to Saikyō mode.
      • Survival: If the title screen is colored light blue, Survival Mode can be selected. Insert coin and hold all 3 Punch buttons, then press Start. Ken will be the first opponent faced in this mode.
      • Dramatic Battle: The title screen needs to be light blue. Put a coin in the machine and hold all 3 Kick buttons, then press Start. Select a character, who is assigned a partner to face the following: V-Adon, X-Akuma, S-Balrog, S-Vega, S-Sagat, and S-M. Bison. If a second player joins in, they will cooperate against the computer.
      • Final Battle: Perform this code with a light blue title screen. After selecting a character's ISM (or game speed), hold LP+MK+HP to face M. Bison (or Ryu if playing as M. Bison).
  • Select A Win Pose (SFA3): When the K.O. symbol is displayed, hold an attack button to select the character's win pose. Characters have a minimum of 3, and only most have a total of 6.
  • Enable Turn Punch Counter (SFA3): Select Balrog and hold LK+HP as the match starts. Now start charging the Turn Punch (all 3 Punch or all 3 Kick buttons) and a counter will be displayed beneath Balrog's name to indicate the level of the move being charged.

PlayStation Unlockables[]

  • The following is a list of secret stuff that can be unlocked both manually and through time release:
    • Mode Select: Clear Arcade Mode on difficulty level 4 to unlock Mode Select. Press Select on the character select screen to switch between Normal, Mazi, Saikyō or Classic. All these are also unlocked after 3 (Classic), 4 (Mazi), and 5 (Saikyō) hours of gameplay.
    • Team Battle: Complete the first China course in the World Tour and it will appear in the main menu. Team Battle is also unlocked after 16 hours of gameplay.
    • Survival: Complete Point 48106 in the World Tour and it will appear in the mode menu. Survival also unlocks after 24 hours of gameplay.
    • Final Battle: Clear Arcade Mode in difficulty level 7. Final Battle will also be released after 32 hours of gameplay.
    • Dramatic Battle: Clear Arcade Mode in difficulty level 8. Clear each course in Dramatic Battle to access two more courses. Dramatic Battle will also appear after 72 hours of gameplay.
    • Guile: Complete the Vs. Rolento U.S.A. course in the World Tour. The player's character must have a master level of 27 or higher to access the stage. Guile will also unlock after 96 hours of gameplay.
    • Evil Ryu: Complete the Vs. Ryu Japan course in the World Tour. The player's character must have a master level of 30 or higher to access this course. Evil Ryu will also be available after 120 hours of gameplay.
    • EX Balrog: Complete the last Thailand course in the World Tour. Highlight Balrog, hold L2, and press any button. This is the arcade version of Balrog. EX Balrog is also available after 8 hours of gameplay.
    • Shin Akuma: Complete the Vs. Akuma Japan course in the World Tour. To access this course, the player's character must be at level 31 with at least two ISMs mastered. Highlight Akuma, hold L2, and press any button.
  • Shin Akuma in Final Battle (SFA3): In the home versions of the game, every character can fight Shin Akuma in Final Battle, not just Evil Ryu. To face Shin Akuma with any character, hold L1+L2 after choosing the ISM (and game speed). Note that winning against Shin Akuma will simply display an All Clear screen, and the Game Over screen if the player loses. If playing the Dreamcast, Saturn or PSP version, hold L+R. In the GBA version, hold A+B. Doesn't work in Street Fighter Alpha Anthology and in Street Fighter Alpha 3 MAX, Arcade Mode must be completed beforehand.
  • Sari (SFA3): In the same home versions described above, it is possible to have Dhalsim's wife Sari appear on any stage being played, but the code must be entered for each round, or she will disappear in the next one. Choose Dhalsim and hold LP+HK as the round starts. Doesn't work in Training and Dramatic Battle.
  • Unlock EX Balrog, Shin Akuma and Final Bison (SFA): In the Dreamcast version of the game, hold Start (R on Saturn, Select on PSP) over the respective normal character and select them with any button. Arcade Mode must be completed on difficulty level 8 to access Final Bison. In the Saturn, all 22 courses of World Tour mode must be completed to unlock Final Bison. In the PSP version (Street Fighter Alpha 3 MAX), clear Arcade Mode once to unlock EX Balrog and Final Bison. Clear Arcade Mode as Evil Ryu to have Shin Akuma available. It is possible to unlock all three of them at once if Arcade Mode is cleared the first time as Evil Ryu. Final Bison's Super Gauge has a Shadaloo symbol.

Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper (GBA)[]

  • Unlockables: Enter these at the title screen quickly, before a demo fight begins. Ryu will say "Hadoken" upon correct code entry:
    • All Characters: Left, Right, Down, Right, L, L, A, L, L, B, R, A, Up
      • Clearing Arcade Mode on difficulty level 4 or higher with 11 different characters also unlocks the characters. To unlock Shin Akuma, the player must clear the game with all the 5 unlockable characters. Then highlight Akuma, hold Start and press any button. To unlock Final Bison, the player must complete Arcade Mode with Shin Akuma on the highest difficulty. Hold Start while highlighting M. Bison and press any button.
    • All ISM Plus: A, Up, A, L, R, Right, L, Right, A, Down, Right
      • Clearing the Final Battle mode a total of 12 times unlocks each of these ISM Plus which can then be toggled ON or OFF at the Options menu.
    • All Game Modes: L, Right, A, R, Up, L, Right, B, A, Up, Right, Down, Right
      • Unlock Dramatic Battle by clearing Single Mode once, Survival after clearing Dramatic Battle, Saikyō Mode after clearing the 10 Battle Survival course, Mazi Mode after clearing the 30 Battle Survival course, Classic Mode after clearing the 50 Battle Survival course, and Final Battle after clearing the Boss Survival course. The three modes will be displayed after choosing a fighter (before choosing the ISM).

Street Fighter Alpha 3 MAX []

  • ISM Plus: Using an Edit or World Tour game clear character (an I-ISM character), complete game modes where an entry character is selectable to earn a new ISM Plus. In the Edit Mode, there are ISM Plus that must be earned labeled as ???. The player has to earn these ISM Plus from the different modes to add them into the Edit Mode list for later use. There is 1 Arcade Mode ISM Plus, 1 Final Battle ISM Plus (defeating Shin Akuma with L+R code above), 4 Survival Mode ISM Plus, 2 R. Dramatic ISM Plus (hold L+R+Select for the second one, see below), 1 VS 100Kumite ISM Plus and 7 World Tour ISM Plus (3 located in Africa, 3 located in America, and the all-new ISM Plus earned from winning the Gokuentou battles).
  • 9999 Edit Points: Clear VS 100Kumite with a perfect score (100 wins, 0 losses). The player is told to select Dramatic Battle, R. Dramatic Battle and Variable Battle by holding L+R+Select and pressing Start or X button. Clear these three game modes using this code, where the player's opponents have an unlimited Super Combo Gauge, to earn 9999 points for Edit Mode.

Street Fighter Alpha Anthology (PS2)[]

  • Cheats: All the codes from the arcade version work in this game, but there are some new ones, as listed below:
    • When playing the arcade SFA3 (not Upper), select a game mode by holding all 3 Kick buttons to enable the Shadaloo ISM. The player can select Final Bison in the original arcade version this way. In Upper, when character is selected, the Mode Select screen appears. The Shadaloo ISM (which allows Final Bison to be played as if M. Bison was chosen by the player) can be selected by highlighting Classic mode, and then pressing Down. Press any button to choose the fighting style.
    • Hold X, Triangle and R2 while selecting certain game modes to enable alternate modes:
      • Arcade - EX Arcade features M. Bison as a regular opponent in SFA for characters that do not fight him as a final boss. In SFA2 and SFA2G, the EX characters and others like SFII Chun-Li, Evil Ryu, Special Sakura and Cammy may appear as regular opponents. For SFA3 and Upper, characters such as Juli, Juni, Balrog, Guile, Fei-Long, Dee Jay, T. Hawk, Evil Ryu and even Shin Akuma may show up as well.
      • Versus - Random Versus initiates a match with two randomly selected fighters and cycles through the stages in order. Works on all games. The pause menu gives the player a list of characters to enable and disable and in SFA3 and Upper, it gives them a list of fighting styles and modes as well. End this mode from the pause menu.
      • Dramatic Battle - Drama Survival plays the arcade course and allows the player to choose two characters, except in SFA3 were a partner is automatically assigned. Two players can cooperate in this mode.
    • Hold Square, Circle and R1 while selecting Arcade Mode for Final Battle mode. The method for Final Battle in SFA3 is listed above. Akuma Mode can also be played in SFA2 by holding MP+MK when selecting Arcade mode.
    • In the Option menu for each game, hold R1 and press X while highlighting Game Options to open the EX Option menu. Holding R2 instead enables the Secret Option menu.
    • In the Option menu for each game (except Hyper Street Fighter Alpha), hold R1 and select Display Adjust to enter Color Edit mode. The color edit replaces the default color of the character. Only SFA3 and SFA3 Upper share color edits. In the Japanese version (Street Fighter Zero: Fighter's Generation) SFZ2 and SFA2 share edits, SFZ2A and SFZ2 Dash share edits, and SFZ3 and SFZ3 Upper share edits.
    • In the Japanese version, clear Street Fighter Zero 2 to unlock Street Fighter Alpha 2, the North American release featuring English text and the additions of Evil Ryu, EX Zangief and EX Dhalsim. Hold Select and choose Street Fighter Zero 2 to play.
    • Also in the Japanese version, complete Street Fighter Zero 2 Alpha to unlock Street Fighter Zero 2 Dash, featuring an arranged soundtrack and Cammy selectable in all game modes, including Arcade Mode. Hold Select and choose Street Fighter Zero 2 Alpha to play.
    • Clear Street Fighter Alpha 3 to unlock Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper. Hold Select and select SFA3 to play. Clear all the games including this one to unlock Hyper Street Fighter Alpha. Hold Select and select SFA to play this game. An easy way to clear SFA3 is to do the Final Battle code and then lose the battle.
    • In Hyper Street Fighter Alpha, there are four Shadaloo ISM fighting styles. Select an ALPHA3 character to display the Mode Select screen:
      • Highlight Classic, hold Start, and press Left or Right to select Shadaloo-A. This mode is required to use Shin Bison. It also grants specific characters a move or animation from the Marvel vs. Capcom games or gives new moves to others based on them.
      • Highlight Mazi, hold Start and press Left or Right to select Shadaloo-B. This is a version of X-ISM that enables parry and super cancel. The cast of Super Turbo will have their arranged music from the 3DO version play when using this mode.
      • Highlight Normal, hold Start and press Left or Right to select Shadaloo-C. This is A-ISM with SFA-style chain combos and Advancing Guard.
      • Highlight Saikyō, hold Start and press Left or Right to select Shadaloo-D. This only works with the cast from Champion Edition and they will play exactly as in that game, with their CPS background music playing as well.

Street Fighter III series[]

For Street Fighter III: New Generation, 2nd Impact, and 3rd Strike.

  • Unlock Akuma (Street Fighter III: 2nd Impact): On Dreamcast (Double Impact) simply move to Sean and press Up. What follows are the two arcade codes:
    • Highlight Ryu, press Down, Down, Up. Move to Ken, press Up, Up, Down. Go to Ryu, press Up. Place it over Ken and press Down. Highlight Sean, press Down, Down, Up, Down, Up, Up, Up. When Up is pressed for the last time, Akuma will appear. This code must be entered each time the player wants to fight like him.
    • To permanently enable Akuma in the arcade version, the test menu must be entered. Go to the Configuration menu and enter the Game Settings. Highlight Timer and press Start 3 times, move to Event and press MK twice, then Screen Mode and press HK 3 times, move to Bonus Game and press Start, then finally Damage and hit LK 4 times. Akuma will make a grunt. Exit the test menu and return to the game and Akuma will be on the character select screen.
  • Unlock Shin Akuma (Double Impact): Clear Arcade Mode and beat Shin Akuma. Highlight Sean and press Up to reveal Akuma. Hold Start and then select Akuma. The color he uses is determined by the player.
  • Unlock Gill (Double Impact): Clear Arcade Mode, then highlight Sean and press Up. In Second Impact, press Up twice, the first time shows Akuma, the second Gill.
  • Fight The Rival (Second Impact): Don't use any continues and get 3/5/7/9 Super Art finishes (the number of Super Art finishes is listed for 1/3/5/7 rounds). The message "Your Rival Has Found You" will be displayed before the fourth, fifth, and sixth match depending on when the requirements were met.
  • Fight Akuma (Second Impact): Don't lose a single round and earn 1/2/3/4 Perfects (for 1/3/5/7 rounds respectively). It is possible to face Shin Akuma after defeating Akuma as well. For this, add one more perfect to the number normally needed to fight Akuma (so 3 perfects for 3 round matches instead of 2) and don't get more than 3 cheap wins. Then, while facing Akuma, finish him on any round with a Super Art. The player must avoid a Time Over or Judgement win in the process. Shin Akuma must be defeated before the player can play as him in Double Impact (see above).
  • EX Options (Double Impact): Move to the Option mode and hold the L and R triggers, then press Start while still holding them to enter the Option menu. Keep holding L+R, highlight Game Option and press Left, Left, X, X, Right, Right. Go to Button Config, press Left, Left, Y, Y, Right, Right. The Screen Adjust, press Left, Left, X, Y, Right, Right. Finally Sound, press Left, Left, Y, X, Right, Right. Extra Options will be listed in the options menu upon correct code entry. Enabling the code in one game doesn't enable it on the other, though.
  • Select Bonus Game Difficulty (Second Impact): When the Let's Practice Parrying message appears on the screen, hold the following buttons to determine skill level:
    • Level 1- Hold LK
    • Level 2- Hold MK
    • Level 3- Hold HK
    • Level 4- Hold LK+MK+HK
    • Level 5- Hold Down+LP+MK+HP
  • Course Select (Second Impact): One use for this code is to determine the final boss Hugo will face. While selecting a Super Art, hold Left or Right, then press a Punch or Kick button:
    • Course 1- Hold Right and press any Punch button (Hugo's last boss is Necro)
    • Course 2- Hold Right and press any Kick button (Hugo's last boss is Ryu)
    • Course 3- Hold Left and press any Punch button (Hugo's last boss is Elena)
    • Course 4- Hold Left and press any Kick button (Hugo's last boss is Gill)
  • Character Colors (Second Impact): Each character has six colors for their costumes, selectable with any attack button. There is a seventh color selected with LK+HP. The new characters (Hugo, Urien, and Akuma) select their default color with LP, the others with HK. Shin Akuma's colors are player-specific and Gill only has a total of 3 colors (the third selected with LK+HP).
  • Clear Pause Screen (Double Impact): Pause the game and hold X+Y to clear the screen of the pause menu display. Doesn't work in Training Mode.
  • Sean's Basketball: Works in all games in the SFIII series. If playing as Sean and get his basketball throwing intro, it's possible to control the ball by holding left and right. It is possible to hit the opponent with the ball (he hits Elena and Twelve by default).
  • Pages for System Direction (Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike): These are known as Dipswitches in the new Online Edition. With the system settings set to Normal, beat the game with 5 different characters for page 8, 5 more for page 9 and 5 more for page 10. In Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online Edition, if the Dipswitches were changed, press Square to default all of them before trying to finish the Arcade mode.
  • Unlock Gill (3rd Strike): Clear the Arcade Mode with all 19 characters. Then highlight Yun and press Up, or Yang, and press Down to reveal Gill. In the Online Edition, Gill is placed under Alex instead.
  • Extra Options (3rd Strike): Clear the Arcade Mode as Gill. These were removed from the Online Edition of the game.
  • Fight CPU Q (3rd Strike): The player must meet the following requirements by the time they reach Stage 7 or 8 to face Q and get to hear his theme in-game:
    • Don't lose a round
    • Don't lose a match
    • In every stage, get a grade of D or better
    • Get 2 or more SP points (these are the white dots that appear on the final results screen)
    • Earn more than 3/5/7/9 Super Art finishes (for 1/3/5/7 rounds, respectively)
  • Character Colors (3rd Strike): Clearing the Arcade Mode on home versions with a character unlocks a new set of six colors (selectable by holding Start and pressing any button) for the character that the player has cleared the game with. There is also a seventh default color selected by simultaneously pressing LP+MK+HP.
    • In the Online Edition, it's a little different. While the method of unlocking the colors are the same, selecting them is different. From the main menu, go to "Downloadable Content", select "My Content", and then select "Color Packs". In this menu, each character's color palette can be previewed and selected. Select "Second Impact Colors" to use the unlocked colors. Unfortunately, unlike the earlier console releases, these colors can't be simply selected by holding Start and pressing any button, as Start is used as the random selection on the character select screen. The color packs will have to be switched from back and forth in order to change the character's color palette. In addition to this, the LP+MK+HP color can't be selected while using the Second Impact colors. This will instead give the character their Start+HK color.
  • Clear Pause Screen (3rd Strike): Press X after pausing the game to remove the Pause menu. Press any button but Start to bring it back.
  • Bring Poison to the Screen (3rd Strike): While using Hugo, hold Start (Up on home versions) while performing a taunt to bring Poison to the screen, who will do three random things.

Street Fighter EX series[]

Applies for Street Fighter EX, EX Plus, EX Plus α, EX2, EX2 Plus, and EX3.

  • Face Akuma (SFEX): Don't lose a single round for eight stages straight (the player can lose a round/continue in Stage 1 or 10 this way). Akuma shows up and kills Bison with the Shun Goku Satsu. If he defeats the player, they can continue and fight against him (press Select) or pick another character (press Start). Akuma will always be there, ready to challenge the player. In Street Fighter EX Plus Alpha, Options Plus must be unlocked first, set the Enemy Type to Plus before attempting this.
  • Face Garuda (SFEX): Earn two Perfect wins and finish six rounds with a Super Combo finish. Garuda shows up as early as Stage 4 or as late as Stage 9. In Street Fighter EX Plus Alpha, set game type to Plus before attempting this.
  • Kairi, Allen Snider, Darun Mister, and Blair Dame (SFEX): The arcade machine must be installed for 400 hours. And then they are selectable, move to the left of Pullum Purna or the right of Skullomania. The player can also choose Akuma (see below).
  • Fight as Akuma (SFEX): Hold Start while highlighting Ryu. Press Down, Down, Down, Up, Up, Up, MP.
  • Play as Evil Ryu (SFEX Plus): Place the cursor on Ryu and press Start once. Then simultaneously press LP+MK+HP or LK+MP+HK.
  • Play as Blood Hokuto (SFEX Plus): Blood Hokuto can only be used after the machine has been installed for 2 weeks. The start the game and highlight Akuma, press Start three times, move to Kairi and press Start twice, then go to Hokuto and press MP or MK.
  • Play as Cycloid β (SFEX Plus): The machine must have been installed for 200 hours. Play the game after that and highlight Pullum Purna, press Start four times. Highlight Ryu and press Start three times. Move to Blair Dame and press MP or MK.
  • Play as Cycloid γ (SFEX Plus): Once the machine is installed for four weeks, the player can select him by highlighting Garuda and pressing Start five times, then moving to Guile and pressing Start four times. Move to Doctrine Dark and press MP or MK.
  • Enable Secret Characters (SFEX Plus α): In Practice mode, play the Expert Mode (the trials). The player will earn points as they complete missions, and can enable the characters by earning points:
    • Evil Ryu: Earn 100 points.
    • Blood Hokuto: Earn 200 points.
    • Cycloid β: Earn 300 points.
    • Cycloid γ: Earn 400 points.
    • CPU Bison: Earn 600 points.
    • CPU Garuda: Earn 800 points.
    • CPU Akuma: Earn 1000 points.
      • ​CPU Bison, Garuda, and Akuma are selectable by highlighting the respective character, holding Start, and pressing any button. Their costume colors stay the same, although they inflict more damage and take less (except for throws) Only CPU Garuda gains one new move, Maboroshi, performed by hitting LP+MP+HP simultaneously as the player is hit. There is also a Mode Menu code that unlocks the first four characters listed above (doesn't work in the Japanese version of the game). Highlight Practice and press Select, Up, Right, Down, Right, Select. To confirm correct the code entry, the "Here Comes A New Challenger" message will appear.
  • Options Plus (SFEX Plus α): Complete 220 missions in Expert Mode, or clear Arcade mode on the hardest difficulty setting. To enable more options here, defeat CPU Akuma in Arcade mode (see above to see how to reach him).
  • Barrel Bonus Game (SFEX Plus α): On the main menu, place the cursor on Practice. Press Select, Up, Up, Right, Up, Right, Up, Select and the message "Here Comes A New Game Mode" will appear. The code is given to the player as they complete missions in the Expert Mode, but the only way to save the Bonus Game, the barrel buster bonus stage, is to complete all of the Expert Mode trials.
  • Face Garuda (SFEX Plus α): Set game type to Alpha. Get two Perfect victories and finish six rounds with a Level 3 Super Combo finish. Garuda will be the final opponent.
  • CPU Controls Character in Team Battle (SFEX Plus α): Hold L2+Select before a Team Battle round starts and the computer controls the player's character. Works only once per team battle.
  • Blood Hokuto's alternate costume (SFEX Plus α): Select Blood Hokuto with any Punch button, release the button pressed, and hold Start, L2, and the other two Punch buttons press until the round begins.
  • Cracker Jack's metal bat (SFEX Plus α): Select Cracker Jack and hold Square, Circle, R1, R2, and Up until the match begins.
  • Kairi and Shadowgeist (SFEX2): Have all characters reach 500, 000 points on the ranking screen and they become selectable. The other way is to access the Test Menu of the machine, though, go to "Color", HP, LP, LK, HK, MP, LP, LK, MK, LK, MK, MP, LP, HK, MK, MP, HP to enable them on the character select screen.
  • Nanase and Garuda (SFEX2): Get all characters (including Kairi and Shadowgeist) to have a total of 28, 800, 000 points on the high score table. Another way is to access the Test Menu, go to "Color" and hit MK, HK, HP, MP, LK, HK, HP, LP, HK, LK, LP, HP, MK, LK, LP, MP to access them on the character selection screen.
  • Vega unmasked (SFEX2): Select Vega. Before every match at the match-up screen hold Start+LP+MK+HP.
  • Garuda, Shadowgeist, and Kairi (SFEX2 Plus): In the arcade version, these characters are enabled through time release. Once Garuda becomes selectable, arrows appear to the left of Guile and to the right of Blanka to indicate the secret character's spot. Garuda unlocks after 100 gameplay hours, Shadowgeist appears after 200 gameplay hours, and Kairi is revealed after 400 gameplay hours. In the home version, these fighters can be unlocked from the main menu by highlighting Option and pressing Select, Left or Right, Select 3 times, Down, and finally Select twice. The other method is to complete all Rank E missions of the Expert Mode (the trials) for all 20 characters to access Garuda, all the Rank C missions with everyone (including Garuda) for Shadowgeist, and all Rank B missions with everyone (including Garuda and Shadowgeist) for Kairi. And, finally, clearing Arcade mode with 10 different characters unlocks Garuda, clearing it with 15 different characters enables Shadowgeist, and clearing it with 20 different characters releases Kairi.
  • Home version unlockables (SFEX2 Plus): Enter these on the Mode Menu screen:
    • Unlock all characters: From "Bonus", press Select twice, Up, Select four times, Up, Select once, Left, and Select five times.
    • Unlock Bonus Games: From "Bonus", press Select five times, Left, Select three times, Up, Select once, Right, Select twice.
    • Unlock Maniac Mode: From "Practice", press Select five times, Left, Select five times, Down, Select three times, Down, Select once, Right, Select once, Down, Select four times.
    • Unlock Sample Data: From "Practice", press Select, Down, Select, Left, Select, Up, Select, Up, Select, Right, Select, Up, Select, Left, Select, Up, Select, Right, Select
    • Unlock Vs. Bison II: From "Bonus", press Select 13 times, Up, Select four times, Down, Select 13 times.
  • Hidden Characters (SFEX3): Clear Original Mode with nine different characters. The fighters unlock in this order: Sagat, Bison, Garuda, Shadowgeist, Kairi, Pullum Purna, Area, Darun Mister, and Vulcano Rosso.
  • Stage 5 Special Match (SFEX3): Complete the first four stages of Original Mode with a Meteor Combo, Meteor Tag Combo, or Critical Parade. If playing as Hokuto or Nanase, then the player will have the choice of fighting Kairi or Sagat. If playing as Skullomania or Sharon, then the player will be given the choice of fighting Shadowgeist or Sagat. If playing as Ken, Sakura, Sagat, Bison, or Bison II, the player will be given the choice of fighting Evil Ryu or Sagat (or Ryu if Sagat is the player's main character). With any other character other than the ones described, the player only faces Sagat in Stage 5. If the requirements for fighting Evil Ryu are done, and Ryu is in the party, it will be normal Ryu instead of Evil Ryu.
  • Fight against Bison II (SFEX3): In Original Mode, on Normal difficulty, earn 500, 000 points, don't use any continues and finish off each opponent with a combo. If on Hard difficulty, simply reach the final stage without continuing.
  • Fight against True Bison (SFEX3): In Original Mode, play on Hard difficulty and earn more than 500, 000 points, don't use any continues. Finish each round with a Meteor Combo, Meteor Tag Combo, or Critical Parade.
  • Medal Unlocks (SFEX3): Earn all Bronze medals to turn Sakura into the announcer, simply highlight Sakura in any mode, press Select, and she will giggle. Earn all Silver medals to play as Bison II in Original Mode only, highlight Bison, hold Select, and press any button to select him. Earn all Gold medals to release Evil Ryu, highlight Ryu, hold Select, and press any button to select him. Earn all Platinum medals to unlock Vs. Bison II and Vs. True Bison modes for the Arena Mode.
  • Alternate Medal Unlocks (SFEX3): If the medals can't be collected, clearing Original Mode eight times with Sakura (for Sakura's narration), Bison (to unlock Bison II for use in Original Mode), and Ryu (to unlock Evil Ryu) can unlock the features listed above. The Vs. Bison II mode can also be unlocked if Bison II is defeated four times in Original Mode. However, the player has to best True Bison four times as well to unlock his mode. True Bison will disappear if he defeats the player, forcing them to start Original Mode all over again if they lose to him.
  • Vega unmasked (SFEX3): Collect all the medals of a type (all Bronze medals, for example). Select Vega as the main character and hold Square, Circle, and R1 simultaneously before the fight begins.

Street Fighter IV series[]

The arcade version's test menu allows access to a password screen. There are three known passwords:

  • C5HSP3GN - This one allows players to face Akuma at the end of a single-player game.
  • CHNB9FGC - Unlocks Akuma. Press Up while highlighting the top row or Down while highlighting the bottom.
  • CSPCU4W6 - With this players can face CPU Gouken at the end of a single-player game.

How to get the unlockable characters:

  • Fei Long - beat arcade with Abel.
  • Dan - beat arcade with Sakura.
  • Gen - beat arcade mode with Chun Li.
  • Cammy - beat arcade mode with C. Viper.
  • Sakura - beat the game with Ryu.
  • Rose - beat arcade with M. Bison.
  • Akuma (must have above characters unlocked) - Play arcade mode with a character that has completed Arcade Mode. Get at least 1 perfect victory without any continues. After defeating Seth, the player should face Akuma. Beat him to unlock him.
  • Gouken - Unlock Akuma and complete arcade mode with him. Then play arcade mode again with a character have already completed it with. Get at least 5 first attacks, 3 Ultra Combo finishes,1 perfect victory, and do not use any continues. After defeating Seth, the player should face Gouken. Beat him to unlock him.
  • Seth - Beat arcade with every character.
  • Alternate Stages: Hold L1 or R1 (Left or Right bumper on Xbox 360) to choose alternate stages. These alternate stages were removed in Super Street Fighter IV and onward.
  • Voice Settings: Clear Arcade Mode once to be able to change character language options from English to Japanese per character.
  • Character Colors and Personal Actions: Each character has 10 outfit colors total, with 2 available by default. Clear the first 16 Time Attack and Survival challenges to unlock all colors and 7 Personal Actions, then clear the 17th challenge of each to unlock the last two taunts.
  • Gallery Mode Unlocks:
    • Prologue Movies - Begin an Arcade Mode game with a character.
    • Ending Movies - Clear Arcade Mode with a character. The Staff Roll is unlocked by clearing Arcade Mode with any character.
    • Promotional Trailers - Clear Arcade Mode with Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Guile, M. Bison, C. Viper, Abel, Akuma, Gouken and Seth.
    • Artwork - Complete the various trials with the characters to unlock artwork from the art gallery.
  • Character Colors and Personal Actions (Super Street Fighter IV): Playing a total of 16 matches with a character unlocks all of their 8 colors. Play 17 matches with the character to unlock all of their taunts.
  • Bonus Stages in Challenge Mode (SSFIV): Play each of the Bonus Stages at least once in Arcade Mode to unlock them under the Challenge mode menu. Clearing the Arcade Mode allows the player to turn Bonus Stages ON or OFF in Arcade Mode.
  • Arranged BGM (SSFIV): When the player sets their title and icon and this option will appear in the Options menu under the Sound settings. This setting only affects multiplayer games (Versus and Network Battle only).
  • Face Original Rival (SSFIV): Ryu, Chun-Li, Guile, C. Viper, Seth and Cammy each face a new rival normally for this game. To face their rival from the original version of SFIV, hold all 3 Kick buttons when the words "Now! Fight Your Rival!" are displayed.
  • Unlock CPU and Player versions of Evil Ryu and Oni (Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition): Enter S2K7MB4Q at the password screen of the test menu.
  • Face Evil Ryu and Oni (Arcade Edition): To fight against Evil Ryu, satisfy the Akuma requirements, then defeat Seth with an Ultra or Super Combo finish on any round. For Oni, do the requirements for fighting Gouken, and then beat Seth with an Ultra or Super Combo finish on any round.

Street Fighter × Mega Man[]

  • Fight Sagat: To fight Sagat, one has to obtain 4 perfects on the boss rush mode.
  • Fight Akuma: Meet the same requirements but on the regular bosses, does not include the boss rush mode.
  • Regenerate health and weapon in the boss rush mode: Shoot the two huge balls in Seth's lab during the boss rush mode, getting weapon and health power-ups. If the player come closer to the balls as they shoot, they will deflect some of their health, as the regenerator refills all of the damaged lines (up to five lines of the health bar).
  • Guile's "Goes With Everything" theme: Pause the game and hold jump, and then quickly tap up, down, down, down. Repeat the process to revert the music to normal.
  • Helmetless Mega Man: On the stage select screen hold fire, and then quickly tap right, right, right, left. Repeat this process to put his helmet back on.
  • Input Hadoken and Seiei Enbu: On the title screen, hold fire and jump for six seconds until a chime plays. Upon starting the game (either a new game or via password), Mega Man will have access to two new moves while equipped with the Mega Buster:
    • Input the classic quarter-circle-forward command and press fire to use a variant of the Hadoken with a unique animation. Just like Ryu's weapon, it can be charged; however, unlike the regular weapon, it consumes no energy, can only be used on the ground, and halts Mega Man's movement until it is released (though he can still move up and down elevators).
    • Press fire and left weapon change simultaneously to activate Yang's Seiei Enbu, which has its own weapon energy gauge that depletes gradually. While in this mode, Mega Man's movement speed and jump height are increased, and all projectiles are fired twice (charging a shot—including the input Hadoken—will freeze the gauge, and the two projectiles will fire at different speeds once released). Once Seiei Enbu is activated, however, the player is locked to the Mega Buster until the gauge is fully depleted.
