Description[]
- "Generate clones to attack your opponent from all directions. Can be used to make combos utilizing your clones, or as a way of breaking through your opponent's guard."
- —Street Fighter 6
Executed by performing two quarter-circle back motions and pressing punch, JP snaps his fingers to create a sphere of Psycho Power, which then disperses into four clones that attack from multiple angles.
Tactics[]
This move is arguably one of the strongest Super Arts in Street Fighter 6. Because Lovushka is a Level 2 Super Art, it can be cancelled from most of his normals or OD special moves. Once performed, the four projectiles track and surround the opponent. Unless they jump away from the barrage, the opponent are forced to block or Drive Parry the clones as well as JP's pressure. If JP is nearby the opponent while Lovushka has been activated, he can continue offensive pressure to keep the opponent on their heels.
He can also utilize his normals, special moves, and throws to pull off some flashy, yet high damaging combos. The four clones hit in a set order: Mid, High, Low, then High again. This means that the opponent has to block the second and fourth projectile while they are standing, while crouch blocking for the third clone. JP can also jump over his opponent while the clones are still attacking to put them in a left-right guessing situation. There is also a small gap in between projectiles for JP to sneak in a throw.
Despite its versatility, it has a few drawbacks. Each projectile attacks the opponent separately, but won't combo into each other on their own. If JP cannot capitalize the opponent with Lovushka, they can jump out of the way or use Drive Parry to refill a small chunk of Drive Meter. Additionally, while this move is active, JP cannot use Torbalan or Embrace. Even if JP uses one of his throws to combo the opponent into Lovushka, the damage is heavily scaled.
Trivia[]
- Lovushka (ловушка) is the Russian word for "trap".
