The Luftjagd is one of Falke's unique attacks, introduced in Street Fighter V.
Street Fighter V | + |
---|
Description
Executed by pressing down and Medium Kick in midair, Falke immediately drops feet-first vertically down toward the ground. If she lands on top of her opponent, Falke hops off of them, which puts her in position for another aerial attack.
Tactics
Falke can use Luftjagd to cross-up her opponent. It is especially effective in the corner, after hitting them with EX Katapult. She can then forward jump and perform Luftjagd when she is right above her opponent, forcing them guess which direction to block. After landing on top of her opponent, Falke can cancel into one of her airborne normals for a follow-up attack. She can also cancel into her aerial special attacks such as Psycho Feder or Psycho Jaeger. However, this move has a height restriction. It can only be used at or near the apex of Falke's jump. This makes it easy for her opponent to anticipate or counter as she drops toward the ground.
Trivia
- This attack has many similarities with another staff using fighter, Rolento's Trick Landing, in that they are executed by pushing down and medium kick at a certain point during a Jump, and it relaunches the user.
