Dudley using Machinegun Blow in Street Fighter IV.

The Machinegun Blow (マシンガンブロー Mashingan Buroo?) is one of Dudley's special attacks, introduced along with him in the Street Fighter III series.

Input
All appearances Arcade Stick HCF+Arcade Button Punch

Description[]

Executed by performing a half-circle forward motion and pressing punch, Dudley dashes forward and rapidly hits the opponent with his leading fist as if they were a speedball punching bag while calling the attack's name, then finishes with an uppercut from the opposite fist.

The distance dashed and amount of punches thrown are determined by the punch button pressed: light punch version dashes only a small distance and delivers three punches; medium punch version dashes half the screen and delivers four; and heavy punch version dashes almost the width of the screen and delivers six.

The EX Special version introduced in the same game travels the entire screen, delivers seven punches and launches the opponent into the air with the finishing uppercut for potential follow-up juggles ("Keep it classy!").

Tactics[]

This move is perfect for closing in and striking rapidly, often catching the foe by surprise and reducing any chances of counterattack.

Trivia[]

  • A glitch related to this move appears in Super Street Fighter IV.
  • In his title defense incarnation Piston Hondo on the Wii edition of Punch Out! punches at the air similarly to Machinegun Blow in his pre-fight cutscene.
