Masaomi Kanzaki is a mangaka (Japanese comic author). He has worked on titles such as Flag Fighters, Ironcat, Hagane,[1] and Xenon.
Within the Street Fighter community, Kanzaki is best known for drawing and writing Street Fighter II: Ryu (ストリートファイターⅡ RYU Sutorîto Faitā Tsū Ryū?) (simply titled Street Fighter II in its English editions), the 1993 manga adaptation of Street Fighter II.
In the Street Fighter: Art Comic Anthology a two page short short manga — Resurrection: Ryu After was released in 2009 which depicts Ryu and Sakura visiting his master's grave. Ryu notes that the grave is empty as they never found his body, with Ryu having assumed that it was destroyed by the energy of the Satsui no Hado. Elsewhere, Oni prepares to battle Gouken.
