Description[]
Executed by performing two quarter-circle forward motions and pressing kick, Dhalsim strikes the opponent with his arms, launching them before repeatedly and rapidly striking them with fiery lashes from his stretching hands to arrest their fall. He then teleports to his still airborne opponent and does a corkscrew diving headbutt into the opponent and the ground, finishing the super by flipping off them.
The Critical Art variant is largely the same right up to the teleport, where he then wreathes himself in flames before hitting his opponent with the corkscrew diving headbutt, the fire exploding off him upon impact with the ground, with Dhalsim still spinning on opponent until stopping with the sound of something breaking, and flips off of them.
Tactics[]
As Dhalsim's Level 3 Super Art, Merciless Yoga is a powerful combo ender he can cancel into from his normals, unique attacks, or special moves such as Yoga Flame or Yoga Blast. When Dhalsim is down to 25% or less of his health, this move gain an additional 500 points of damage. It also has a lengthy cinematic. This allows Dhalsim to recover Drive Gauge while simultaneously draining the opponent's meter during his Super Art.
Merciless Yoga is Dhalsim's only true reversal, being fully invincible on frame 1 and having a hitbox large enough to hit crouching opponents, though its slightly slower than average startup at ten frames means that certain setups can block in time.

Trivia[]
- Merciless Yoga bears a resemblance to Oro's Kishin Tsui, with both users striking an airborne opponent with a diving headbutt while holding their hands in a prayer position.
