Description[]

Meteorite

Marisa hammering Cammy to the ground during Meteorite.

"Leap into the air with a tackle and descend with a single devastating punch. Useful as an anti-air attack or as a way to tack on big damage at the end of a combo."
Street Fighter 6

Executed by performing two quarter-circle back motions and pressing punch, Marisa takes a Scutum stance, jumps high in attempt to hoist the opponent up in the air. If the initial attack connects, Marisa spreads her arms out to send the opponent tumbling in midair. Marisa then does a falling hammer punch on top of her opponent's neck on her way back down.

Tactics[]

Meteorite is an excellent reversal option as well as anti-air. Unlike her Level 1 Super Art, this move gives Marisa full invincibility. One of the main benefit of using Meteorite over her Level 1 Super Art is that it catches opponents who try to neutral jump Marisa when under pressure, as the hit box of the initial hit is quite big. It can also to catch certain jump-in attempts that normally wouldn’t expect to hit. Because it is a Level 2 Super Art, Meteorite can be cancelled from her normals or OD moves like Dimachaerus.

Compared to Javelin of Marisa, this move inflicts more damage and grants better positional advantage. If the opponent blocks the first attack, Marisa continues through and delivers her second attack on the way down. This, however, reduces the overall damage of the attack. Not only it leaves Marisa vulnerable on block, but it can also be avoided by jumping out of the way.
