Meteorito Jr. (メテオリトJr. Meteorito Junia?) is a minor character from the Street Fighter series. He is a famous Mexican luchador that is the master of El Stingray and El Fuerte. His name comes from the shooting star on the forehead of his mask.[1]
Meteorito Jr. was originally great with aerial techniques, his special move being a modified moonsault press named Yucatán Tornado (ユカタントルネード Yukatan Torunēdo?). When he fought Antler Inoki in Japan, his neck was injured by Inoki's abdominal stretch. Afterwards he began using the spinebuster Kukulkan (ククルカン Kukurukan?) instead. He is an excellent trainer, having a dojo in Mexico where he raised many great luchadores.[1]
Apparently, Meteorito Jr. is an Aerophobic, as he is afraid of planes, and most likely flying in general. This may be related to the neck injury that caused him to stop using the Yucatán Tornado aerial technique.
