Neco Drop: Cat Friends Nation is a puzzle game presented by Capcom in the Capcom Fighters Network during the 2020 April Fools' Day. It is a short game that has Street Fighter V characters as cats. It also had limited merchandise in Japan.
Prologue
There is a rumor of a town full of interesting and unique cats.
An aspiring professional cat lover such as myself could not ignore it, so I came to said town to check it out myself!
Until now, I was just a local fellow, befriending the local cats as a secret hobby, but that's all about to change today!
According to the experts, one needs to show their puzzle solving skills for these cats to approve of and eventually befriend them. I have to try this out and see if it's true...
Tomorrow I have to go back home and return to my normal job, but just for today, I am gonna flex my puzzle solving muscles and befriend as many cats as I can! Can't wait to see what kind of cats I'll get to meet! So exciting!
Gameplay
Each cat has an unique puzzle with their own objective. After each match, five random cats appear in the stages, and the player selects one of them to play their puzzle. After completing the puzzle, the player receives food, whose rarity depends of how well the puzzle was done. If the cat likes the food, it will become a friend and is added to the player's Cat Encyclopedia.
The puzzle is solved by tapping groups of colored blocks to break them. Clearing larger groups of blocks at the same time will make Special Blocks appear, and they effect is improved when they are activated with other Special Blocks.
- 4-6 blocks: Creates a mouse shaped block that can clear a line of blocks, either horizontally or vertically, depending of the direction it is facing. Combining with other mouse makes it clear all blocks horizontally and vertically.
- 7-8 blocks: Creates a balloon block. When activated, it bursts and clears the surrounding blocks. Combining with other balloon increases the explosion range. Combining with a mouse clears all blocks in a 3x3 pattern.
- 9 or more blocks: Creates a colored wool ball that can clear all the blocks of the same color. Combining it with other Special Blocks makes it replace most blocks of the same color by the combined Special Block, clearing a large amount of blocks.
Most puzzles contain Puzzle Gimmicks, which must be removed to clear the puzzle. Unlike the colored and special blocks, they have special requirements to be removed:
- Gems: Clearing a block of the same color next to it will make it explode. It will automatically combine with adjacent gems, changing its shape and causing a bigger explosion when activated.
- Crates: Clearing a block next to this piece will break it. Some crates have one or two pieces of wood in front of it, indicating that they must be "hit" more times to break.
- 2x2 block shaped like the Bonus Stage with drum cans: Clearing a block next to it will clear some of the cans. Getting rid of all the cans will clear this block.
- Mobi-chan: Must reach the bottom line to be removed.
Cat Encyclopedia
Cats are added to the encyclopedia after befriending them. Befriending a cat again will add a quote to its entry, having a total of nine quotes. Each cat also has their own meow sound effect.

A cat who takes pride in his flexible body. He possesses strange powers, and can be seen floating mid-air and teleporting. |

A cat that looks like a mage. Keeps licking a purple liquid stored in a jar. Can't be good for his health. |

A cat that really likes to work out. He's self-conscious about his hairstyle looking like fried potatoes. |

A professional cat. Always keeps his calm. Doesn't mind waiting. |

A bit of a bully, but she actually just wants your attention. Sulks easily. |

| Urimeow (ゆりさん, "Uri-san") |
A cat with an unknown stone stuck to his head. Full of pride and seems to have a fondness for white, cloth-like things. |

An energetic cat with a nose for fights. Some mistake him for a lion. |

An unknown cat not seen until recently. Unlike her warm-looking fur, she has an ice-cold personality. |

A mischievous cat that loves pranks. Starts a lot of fights but seems to take care of his friends. Loves licorice. |

A cat of unknown materials. A bit cold to the touch. Is he even alive? Still has a few bugs. |

- The game's name may be a reference to Otomon Drop: Monster Hunter Stories,and gameplay be a reference to the Snoopy Puzzle Journey, both are mobile phone puzzle games developed by Capcom.
- Cammy cat's name Kylie is a reference to her Street Fighter 1994 film's Australian actress and singer Kylie Minogue. Additionally, two of Guile cat's (Major) quotes are a reference to Jean-Claude Van Damme, the actor who portrayed Guile in the afore-mentioned film.
