Description

- "A combination attack that can transition into two possible variations."
- —Street Fighter 6
Executed by pressing Medium Punch, followed by Medium Kick (or two consecutive Medium attacks for Modern Control), Terry delivers a punch to the opponent's head. If the first attack connects, Terry follows up with a spinning heel kick across the body that spins the opponent on hit.
Terry can then perform one of the following moves upon performing this combination.
- Jumping Lariat is executed by pressing Medium Punch during Passing Sway. Terry delivers a jumping clothesline to the opponent.
- Jumping Knee is executed by pressing Medium Kick during Passing Sway. Terry jumps behind the opponent and delivers a knee strike to the back.
Tactics
This move is one of Terrys' target combos. While both moves in Passing Sway are a true blockstring, the combo itself is unsafe on block. The target combo, however, does give Terry a way to confirm off of his Standing Medium Punch. He can use it to whiff punish the opponent from a distance. After hitting the opponent with Passing Sway, Terry can then perform one of his two follow-ups for additional damage or to force the opponent to make a mistake.
Jumping Lariat

- "Terry delivers a jumping clothesline to the opponent."
- —Street Fighter 6
Pressing Medium Punch during Passing Sway allows Terry to inflict more damage while remaining on the same side. While he is in the air during this move, Terry is fully invincible to the opponent's attacks. While Jumping Lariat doesn't result in a knockdown, it puts Terry at +4 on hit. This allows him to link into Light normal for additional damage or into Crouch Medium Punch if he scores a Counter Hit with Jumping Lariat. This is also Terry's safer option, compared to the other follow-up. Even though Terry is +3 on block, the pushback leaves him out of throwing range.
Jumping Knee

- "An attack from Passing Sway that hits the opponent from behind. Hold forward to increase the distance you move."
- —Street Fighter 6
Pressing Medium Kick during Passing Sway allows Terry to inflict more damage while switching sides with the opponent. However, this move may require Terry to move forward during the follow-up to avoid whiffing the attack. If Terry anticipates that the opponent may attempt to Drive Parry the knee strike, then whiffing the follow-up puts him in position to Punish Counter them with a throw. Terry can follow up with a Light normal if he scores a Counter Hit with Jumping Knee.
