Po-Lin and her young brother, Wong-Mei, are running their restaurant, Pekin Restaurant, in the Chinatown of the artificial island Shad. Their parents emigrated in the early days of Shad. When they died, the children inherited a commerce loaded on debts, until the vagrant Ryu arrived at Shad and saved them from the ruin. Po-Lin's character also appears in this comic book mini-series published by UDON. In this version, she doesn't seem to have a brother, Wong-Mei and fiance, Cho. Po-Lin lost her parents as a result of a confrontation between gangs affiliated to Shadaloo against other rival gangs on China. Wishing to avenge them, she vowed to eradicate Shadaloo and with that purpose joined to the academy of Hong Kong Police Department. Po-Lin was consumed by revenge and beat thugs with intense fury, but later understand that it do not return her parents and only bringing harm, destroying her in the process eventually. After Sagat broke her leg, she was visited by Chun-Li in the hospital. Later, Po-Lin, Chun-Li and her father Dorai visited grave of Po-Lin's parents and she apologies for her behavior and leave her job of police officer.
- In UDON's Street Fighter Legends: Chun-Li comic, it is shown that Po-Lin ingressed in the Hong Kong Police Department (HKPD), when actually that public organization in the real world is officially named Hong Kong Police Force.
