Description[]
- "Lift an opponent up on your shoulders and then toss them behind you. Throws your opponent while switching places with them."
- —Street Fighter 6
Executed by pressing Light Punch and Light Kick, (or the Light Attack and Medium Attack for Modern Control) and pushing backwards near an opponent. After grabbing her opponent by the wrist, she drapes their arm over the back of her neck and squats down. Marisa then rises back to a vertical base so their side rests on her shoulders. Finally, Marisa extends her arms ups, tossing her opponent over her head and causing them to crash on their back.
Tactics[]
Marisa's throws are extremely useful to open up the opponents who are constantly blocking. While it does significantly less damage compared to her command grab, it has a faster startup and recovery. This means that Marisa can still counter her opponent if they jump to avoid her grabs, giving her time to attack. While her heavy build makes her moves slower than most of the cast, Marisa excels in maintaining pressure on her opponent using a plethora of tools in her arsenal. From armored attacks to her throws, Marisa can keep her opponent on the defensive while she mounts her offense.
This move is very effective in putting her opponent back in the corner. While she may not close enough to put the opponent in a throw loop, she can walk or dash up toward the recovering opponent while maintaining offensive pressure without having to spend any meter on Drive Rush. Once she has her opponent in the corner, she can also perform Falx Crusher as a meaty option to either retain frame advantage on block or hit confirm into the target combo on hit.
Trivia[]
