Description[]
- "An overhead attack that cannot be blocked while crouching."
- —Street Fighter 6
Executed by pressing forward and Heavy Punch (or pressing forward and Heavy Attack for Modern Control), M. Bison pulls his arms back, clutching a Psycho-powered hand with his other hand and swinging the energized arm downward.
Tactics[]
This move is an overhead, giving M. Bison a tool against an opponent who is constantly crouch blocking. Psycho Hammer is safe at -3 and can be used out of a Drive Rush to be +6 on hit, enabling a link into Crouching Medium Punch to give M. Bison a combo route from an overhead. This move is more of a threat when pressuring the opponent with strong normals and surprising them with Drive Rush. This puts them in a position to guess what M. Bison next attack may be. If he has planted a Psycho Mine into his opponent, M. Bison can take more risks and throw out a Psycho Hammer in the neutral with the threat of the Psycho Mine moments away from detonating. If M. Bison hits an airborne opponent with Psycho Hammer, it causes them to bounce on the ground, allowing him to follow up with OD Backfist Combo.
