Description[]

PsychoStorm

Ed cold-cocking Cammy with a devastating punch during Psycho Storm.

"Unleashes a series of high speed flicker jabs cloaked in Psycho Power. Useful as a combo ender, or as a counter attack by using its invincibility time."
Street Fighter 6

Executed by inputting two quarter-circle-forward motions and pressing kick, or pressing (forward and) both Heavy & Special Attack for Modern Control, Ed switches and shuffles his feet back and forth before weaving in and out of the foreground and hitting the opponent with multiple flicker jabs infused with negative energy. After getting his opponent to bend over from his last punch, Ed finishes with a huge, Psycho Powered haymaker, knocking them backwards onto the ground.

Tactics[]

Psycho Storm serves as a reversal and combo ender Ed can use even in Burnout. It inflicts decent damage for a Level 1 Super Art while making Ed invincible to strikes and throws. However, it has a 13-frame startup, meaning that the opponent has some time to react and block the Super before scoring a Punish Counter. Kill Rush's follow ups launch the opponent high enough that Ed is able to juggle into Psycho Storm without spending any Drive Gauge. Ed can finish juggle combos from his Level 2 Super Art with Psycho Storm for optimal corner carry and damage output. The final punch only comes out if Ed hits the opponent with the flicker jabs, which are a true blockstring. If the opponent is in Burnout and with a minimal health remaining, Ed can use Psycho Storm to finish them off.

Trivia[]

  • This is one of very few attacks to switch between the background and foreground in the series.
