Description

PullbackHold

Laura using Pullback Hold against Cammy.

Executed by pressing Light Punch and Light Kick, (the throw command) and pushing backwards near an opponent. Laura grabs a hold of her opponent's arm and pulls them towards her to get them off-balance. Next, she swings herself over on top of her opponent's back, forcing them to fall on their stomach. As the opponent lands on their belly, Laura sits on her opponent's back, pulling their arm back into their body, stretching their upper limb and shoulder.

Tactics

FujiwaraArmbar

Laura locking Cammy in the Fujiwara Armbar at the end of Pullback Hold.

This move is extremely useful to open up the opponents who are constantly blocking. While it does significantly less damage compared to her command grabs, it has a fast recovery and inflicts more damage than her forward throw. This means that Laura can still counter her opponent if they jump to avoid her grabs, giving her time to attack. If her normal throw whiffs on a jumping opponent, she can use Heavy Bolt Charge to anti-air them for some good damage. By mixing Laura's normal throws with her command grabs, it puts the opponent in a difficult situation where they have to guess what she is going to do next, especially when she has positional and frame advantage.
