Quarrel Punch

The Quarrel Punch (クォーラルパンチ, Quarrel Punch^?) is one of Urien's unique attacks, introduced in Street Fighter III: Third Strike. It replaces Maul Punch, introduced in the previous game.

Description

Executed by pressing forward and Medium Punch, Urien performs an upward punch.

Tactics

This move is one of Urien's long range pokes. Quarrel Punch is only -2 on block, making this attack decently safe. It is also used as an anti-air tool. While it doesn't result in a knockdown or serve as a combo extender like Crouching Heavy Punch, it has a fairly quick startup. Urien can use this move to stop jump-ins and give himself a potential reset opportunity.
