Description[]

Executed by pressing forward and all three punches after blocking an attack, E. Honda delivers a powerful palm thrust that knocks his opponent almost a fullscreen back.

Tactics[]

RaidenHo

Like most V-Reversals, the purpose is to stop opponent's pressure or to get out of tough situations. The Raiden-Ho is a solid escape option. If the opponent is constantly pressuring, E. Honda can use this move to create separation and reset the neutral game. During the startup frames of this attack, he is invincible to all types of attacks, with the exception of throws.

As a Drive Reversal, Raiden-Ho serves as a way for E. Honda to escape offensive pressure being applied to him; similar to Alpha Counter or V-Reversal. It cost 2 bars of Drive Gauge. This move can be only be performed when E. Honda is in blockstun or on a successful Drive Parry. Upon activation, E. Honda is fully invincible during the startup and active frames of this move. On hit, it inflicts decent amount of provisional damage. Raiden-Ho can also break armor. It is also effective in keeping the opponent in the corner should they attempt to force their way out. After knocking them back with Raiden-Ho, E. Honda can perform Sumo Spirit or charge up for another Sumo Headbutt.
