Description[]

Executed by Heavy Punch, then pressing forward and Heavy Punch, then pressing forward and Heavy Punch again, followed by Medium Punch and Medium Kick simultaneously, Akira delivers a strong punch to her opponent's midsection. When the attack connects, she pivots and spreads her arms out wide, performing a palm strike with her leading hand. If the second punch connects, Akira switches her stance and drives her leading elbow into their body to knock them back. After hitting her opponent with the last attack, Akira generates an orb of energy to power up her next Kiko Kai.

Tactics[]

This target combo can only be used if Akira is equipped with her first V-Skill. Her Standing Heavy Punch is one of her stronger pokes that slightly moves her forward, making it a decent mid-range attack. If the first attack hits, Akira can either cancel into one of her special moves, or cancel into two consecutive forward Heavy Punches to push her opponent toward the corner.

Normally, Akira's first V-Skill has 50 frames of recovery. Once the entire animation of her V-Skill is finished, her next Kiko Kai is amplified. However, the recovery frames give her opponent a free shot at Akira. By cancelling the last hit of Renkan Renkiko into her V-Skill, it gives Akira time to charge up her projectile after scoring a knockdown. An enhanced Kiko Kai gains extra hits and significantly more frame advantage on hit; making it a powerful tool on both the ground and in the air.
