Description[]

DeltaAdvance

Cammy performing Reverse Edge during Delta Advance.

"A downward kick performed from Hooligan Combination. It is an overhead attack that cannot be blocked crouching, making it useful for breaking through an opponent's guard."
Street Fighter 6

Executed by pressing Heavy Punch and Heavy Kick simultaneously while in V-Trigger II, then pressing kick, Cammy performs a somersault in the air before whipping both of her legs on top of her opponent. In Street Fighter 6, this move is one of Cammy's additional follow-up attacks from Hooligan Combination in Street Fighter 6. Executed by pressing down and kick while Cammy is airborne during her Hooligan Combination (or pressing down and any attack button for Modern Control), Cammy performs a somersault in midair before swinging her leg downward to hit the opponent with an axe kick. The OD version has her performing two consecutive somersault axe kicks in midair.

Cammy ss04

Reverse Edge in Street Fighter 6

Cammy has plenty of tools to open up her opponent. From fast and cancellable normals to throws, Cammy can keep her opponent on their heels as she executes her offensive gameplan. Prior to Street Fighter V, Cammy didn't have an overhead attack that can catch her opponent off-guard as they are crouch blocking. With Reverse Edge added as a part of her moveset, she now has a way to hit a crouching opponent.

Street Fighter V[]

Reverse Edge is one of Cammy's follow-up moves that's part of her second V-Trigger. Her overhead kick and command grab puts the opponent in a situation where they have to guess how Cammy can attack them. While the Delta Twist can result in the biggest damage and combo potential, it leaves Cammy very unsafe if she whiffs. Her opponent can crouch to avoid the grab and still have enough time to deliver a punishing and high damaging combo. Reverse Edge is the safer option since it is -2 on block. However, Cammy can only follow up with Crouching Light Punch if she hits the opponent with her overhead. This limits the upside and damage potential she can inflict on her opponent.

Street Fighter 6[]

In Street Fighter 6, Reverse Edge becomes a follow-up option from Cammy's Hooligan Combination. Because of the improvements to her aerial approach, Cammy has a variety of ways to open up her opponent. Besides her Cannon Strike and Fatal Leg Twister, Cammy has a tool to attack a crouching opponent. Despite having an 18-frame startup, Reverse Edge is a good way to start combos. Cammy can be up to +9 on hit, allowing her to link into Standing Heavy Punch for bigger damage and okizeme. Even if the opponent blocks it, it can be difficult to punish if spaced correctly. Hitting the opponent with an OD Reverse Edge (or from a held Hooligan Combination) hits the opponent twice, inflicting more damage. Cammy can also cancel OD Reverse Edge into Killer Bee Spin.
