Description[]
- "Grab your opponent's arm to immobilize them, then deliver a couple of punches to send them away. Throws your opponent while switching places with them."
- —Street Fighter 6
Executed by pressing Light Punch and Light Kick, (the throw command) while holding back on the control stick near an opponent. After grabbing the opponent by the wrist, Ed twists his body inward and hooks his rear arm around the opponent's lead arm; tugging them around to face the opposite side of the stage. With his free hand, Ed delivers a strong punch into the opponent's ribs. Ed finishes the move with a powerful hook across the face, sending his opponent tumbling across the stage.
Tactics[]
While Ed's main gameplan is to pester the opponent with mid-range pokes and long-range special moves, utilizing his throw makes him a huge threat at close range. Face Buster inflicts respectable damage and results in a side switch. From there, Ed has a variety of follow-ups. He can dash forward and follow-up with Standing Light Punch or Crouching Heavy Kick to maintain offensive pressure. He can also fire a projectile at the opponent. Ed can also charge up his Psycho Flicker during the opponent's recovery. Even if they block, Ed still retains frame advantage, potentially setting them up for another throw. In the corner, Ed can dash forward and put his opponent in a mix-up, forcing them to guess either strike or throw, thus potentially putting them in a throw loop.
