Description[]

"Unleash a ferocious punch as you leap diagonally upwards. It grants immunity to jumping attacks, making it useful as an anti-air technique."
Street Fighter 6

Executed by performing a forward, down, and then down-forward (commonly referred to as a "Shoryuken motion" or a "DP Motion), Luke jumps high and raises his rear fist for a rising uppercut, not too dissimilar to a Shoryuken.

In Street Fighter 6, the EX version gets a follow-up called Slam Dunk (スラムダンク Suramu Danku?), where Luke slams the opponent to the ground with an overhead punch.

Tactics[]

Rising Rocket
"An attack executed from an OD Rising Uppercut that slams an opponent to the ground. In addition to its high damage, it leaves you in an advantageous position afterward."
Street Fighter 6

Rising Uppercut serves as Luke's primary anti-air. Notably, all versions are immune to air attacks, letting Luke choose which Rising Uppercut best serves his purposes. The Light version is immune to throws and starts in four frames, while the Heavy version gains full hit and projectile invincibility halfway through its startup, letting it be used as a projectile counter at the mid-range. The EX version is fully invincible, making it his go-to reversal option. Heavy Rising Uppercut is Luke's strongest meterless ender whenever he is unable to use Flash Knuckle's charged variants, making it useful when cancelling from normals that wouldn't give Luke the time to do so. However, Luke is vulnerable in a Counter Hit state if the opponent blocks Rising Uppercut and as he's recovering.

Slam Dunk lets Luke tack on some extra damage while being closer to his opponent. However, OD Rising Uppercut and Slam Dunk cost three Drive Bars, making it fairly costly to use carelessly.
