Rival Riverside is a stage which first appeared in the Rival Schools series with different names, before it returned as a DLC stage in Street Fighter V.
Description
The stage takes place in Konsouibanchi, Aoharu City, in the river near Gedo High School.
Rival Schools
Gedo H.S. River Bank[1] (外道高校前河川敷? lit. "Riverbed in Front of Gedo High School"), also known as Riverbed Near Gedo HS,[2] is a stage from Rival Schools: United by Fate set in the riverbed near Gedo High. The bridge visible in this stage is incomplete. Under the bridge are some graffiti with the texts "Super Combo" and "山田学級".
Project Justice
Embankment on the Yamato River (大和川堤防?) is a stage in Project Justice set near a bridge, with cars being seen crossing it. Another bridge can be seen on the distance. This stage is where Daigo was revealed to be brainwashed by Kurow Kirishima.
Street Fighter V
Rival Riverside is a DLC stage in Street Fighter V. It is similar to its appearance in Project Justice. Edge and Gan, Akira's Gedo High School teammates in Rival Schools: United by Fate, are watching the fight in the background.
Trivia
- The low health stage theme in Street Fighter V is an arrangement of "Atsuki Kodō", the Rival Schools console version opening cinematic theme.
- It seems that Edge and Gan have specific reactions to the results of a round when Akira is fighting. When Akira wins a fight, Edge and Gan celebrate and when she loses, they act disappointed.
