Description
- "Latch onto your opponent and whirl around them before smashing their face into the ground. Throws your opponent without switching places with them."
- —Street Fighter 6
Cammy putting her opponent in a headlock using Rough Landing.
Executed by pressing Light Punch and Light Kick, (or the Light Attack and Medium Attack for Modern Control) near an opponent. After grabbing her opponent's wrist to pull them toward her, Cammy wraps her arm around the opponent's neck and swings her legs forward. As she grabs her wrist to put her opponent in a headlock, she places a foot on their back for stability and balance. Cammy then swings her other leg over her opponent's shoulder to spin them around and mount their back. Combining her own weight with their lack of balance, Cammy plants her opponent face and midsection first into the ground.
Tactics
Cammy planting her opponent into the ground using Rough Landing.
Cammy specializes in applying and maintaining pressure to her opponent. Cammy's throws are significantly crucial to her gameplay. While Rough Landing inflicts the same damage as her back throw, it leaves her closer to her opponent for better okizeme. In the corner, this move amplifies Cammy's pressure game. After hitting her opponent with Rough Landing in the corner, she has enough time to walk up to them and go for another throw as they are recovering, putting them in a throw loop. This puts Cammy at an advantage. By combining her fast walk speed, frame trap combos, and constant offensive pressure with her normals, Cammy can consistently keep her opponent guessing and potentially force them to make a mistake; which can result in them taking a lot of throws or opening them up for more damaging combos.
Trivia
- This is the third replacement for Cammy's forward throw following the Hooligan Suplex and Gyro Clipper.
