Description

Ryuseiraku

Chun-Li drives Cammy into the ground during Ryuseiraku.

Executed by pressing Light Punch and Light Kick, (the throw command) while Chun-Li and her opponent are near each other in the air. When Chun-Li's in midair, she shoves her opponent to the ground, diving down with them. As the opponent lands on their back, Chun-Li back flips off of them.

Pre-SFV this attack resembled Cammy and Vega's own air throw, where the grabber would simply toss their opponent to the ground. In Chun-Li's case she tosses her opponent face first to hit the ground. Such older games often made it similar to her forward throw, but while airborne.

Chun-Li utilizing Ryuseiraku against Ling Xiaoyu in Street Fighter X Tekken.

This is one of Chun-Li's anti-air moves. If she gets a good read and anticipates her opponent's jump, she can use her air throw to make it difficult for them to escape. It also does more damage than her ground throws. She can follow up the air-throw with some meaty setups.

Additionally, this move leaves Chun-Li near her opponent. This allows her to maintain offensive pressure, whether or not the opponent quick rises. It is important to utilize this move, due to the lack of anti-air moves Chun-Li has in her arsenal.
