The Saikyo Style (サイキョー流 Saikyō-ryū?, "Strongest Style") is a fictional fighting style in the Street Fighter series, used by its creator and only practitioner, Dan Hibiki.

Description

Described by Dan as the "ultimate" fighting style, Saikyo Style was created by mixing several techniques based on his late father's fighting style, elements of Muay Thai, and unprofessional Ansatsuken techniques that Dan learned during his short training with Gouken, as well as colorful taunts of his own.[1] By using multiple provocations to show off, Dan can manipulate opponents to break their pace and lower their guard, giving him the opportunity to land "powerful" attacks.[2]

Trivia

Because Dan is considered to be a parody of SNK's Ryo Sakazaki from the Art of Fighting series, Dan's fighting style of Saikyo-ryu could be considered as a parody of Kyokugenryu Karate, which is a fictional fighting style that's used by Ryo.
