Description[]

SakuraShoulderThrow

Sakura slamming Cammy to the ground using Sakura Shoulder Throw.

Executed by pressing Light Punch and Light Kick, (the throw command) and pushing backwards near an opponent. Sakura starts the throw by grabbing a hold of his opponent's arm with both hands. Next, she turns the other way and crouches down to one knee. Still holding onto their arm, Sakura pulls the opponent over her shoulder, flipping them over and causing them to land on their back. If no directional input or button is pressed after the throw, Sakura momentarily stretches out her shoulders before dropping back to her stance.

Tactics[]

This move is good for putting her opponent back in the corner if they try to escape. It also inflicts more damage and stun than her forward throw. Sakura Shoulder Throw is good tool to use if her opponent is close to stun. If Sakura can maintain offensive pressure and keep her opponent trapped with blockstrings, she can use this move to break through their defenses.

While her back throw puts her opponent further away, Sakura can get some follow-ups afterwards if she has them in the corner. If her opponent quick rises, she can use Crouching Medium Punch as a meaty option to further pressure her opponent. Sakura can also fish for Crush Counter hits by using her Furiko Upper. If she scores a Crush Counter with this unique attack, it puts them in a juggle state, allowing Sakura to deliver a fully charged Hadoken to set up high damaging combos or create potential reset situations.
