Executed by pressing down and Medium Punch, followed by forward and Medium Kick, Ibuki first delivers a crouching palm strike. If the first attack hits, Ibuki spins and hops toward her opponent, finishing the combination with an overhead axe kick, similar to her Kobekudaki. This attack is functionally similar to her previous Target Combo 7.
This is one of Ibuki's target combos. While Ibuki cannot cancel into any of her special attacks with this combo, it forces the opponent to block high on the second move. Ibuki can try to open up her opponent and surprise them with her overhead.
Compared to her other target combos, the two moves involved in this combo do not link into each other, meaning that her opponent can still block Ibuki's second attack, if they didn't block the first one. However, the reward for Ibuki is that hitting her opponent with her overhead gives her frame advantage on hit at +6, rather than +3 if she hits it raw.
This target combo is also very useful when Ibuki's has her Rokushaku Horokudama V-Trigger in play. If Ibuki can create a reset with her bombs, she can put her opponent in a position where they cannot see her connect with her Standing Medium Punch or her overhead, due to the smoke concealing her or the opponent..
