Description
Executed by pressing forward and Medium Punch (or pressing forward and Medium Attack for Modern Control), Mai strikes the opponent with an overhead punch with her folding fan.
Tactics
This move is Mai's overhead, which can surprise the opponent if they are constantly crouch blocking. Despite having a 20-frame startup, this move is -3 on block. It can be used out of a Drive Rush to make Mai +1 on block. On hit, she can link into Standing Light Kick or Crouching Medium Punch to give her a combo route from an overhead. This move is more of a threat when pressuring the opponent with strong normals or combining it with her slow-moving projectile. This puts them in a position to guess what Mai's next attack may be.
