Description

- "Adopt a very low, stationary fighting stance. While in this stance, each attack button produces different attacks."
- —Street Fighter 6
Executed by performing a quarter-circle back motion and pressing punch, Chun-Li switches into a crouching stance, similar to her crouching state to where she is seated on the ground, legs crossed over each other, and arms out in a Kung Fu Lotus stance, as seen in Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike and Street Fighter V. While in this stance, Chun-Li has access to six different attacks, depending on the button that is pressed afterwards:
- Orchid Palm (蘭華) -
- "A quick strike, performed during Serenity Stream."
- Snake Strike (這蛇突) -
- "A forward moving, repeatable low profile strike, performed during Serenity Stream."
- Lotus Fist (蓮掌) -
- "An overhead attack that cannot be blocked while crouching, performed during Serenity Stream."
- Forward Strike (前突) -
- "A quick, low kick, performed during Serenity Stream."
- Senpu Kick (仙風) -
- "A low kick with long reach, performed during Serenity Stream."
- Tenku Kick -
- "A launching kick, performed during Serenity Stream. Can be immediately cancelled into a jump on hit."
Tactics
In Street Fighter 6, Serenity Stream can be cancelled from Chun-Li's normals, allowing her to combo from her neutral game. The follow-up attacks can be quickly canceled from stance, giving her combo opportunities or mix-ups on hit or block.
Trivia
- Kou'un Ryuusei is a four character idiom that is an expression for "floating/flowing with the tide".
- Serenity Stream stance allows Chun-Li access to some of her normal moves and command normal moves from past Street Fighter games:
- Snake Strike was her Crouching Medium Punch in Street Fighter III and Street Fighter V.
- Senpu Kick was her Crouching Heavy Kick in Street Fighter III, with added spin and back facing viewer instead of front.
- Tenku Kick was her close Standing Heavy Kick in Street Fighter Alpha series and her command normal in Street Fighter V.
