Shadaloo Soldiers are soldiers working for Shadaloo.

Biography[]

Appearance[]

Low-rank Shadaloo soldiers use a uniform with shoulder armor similar to M. Bison's and a hat. Every four years its color is changed, being changed from mustard yellow to a lively blue during Street Fighter V. While on duty, low-rank soldiers are required to put on a helmet for protection, which possesses a Psycho Power receiver that can temporarily make their body tougher. While out of service, soldiers must wear a stylish red beret.[1] Birdie left Shadaloo because he refuses to wear hats, arguing with F.A.N.G about it and being chased by blue soldiers while wearing the old yellow uniform.

Medium rank soldiers wear a green shirt and red beret. High-rank soldiers wear a grey uniform, a red hood, and a skull-like mask.[2]

The uniform varies in other media, being a blue uniform in Street Fighter × Tekken, a standard military uniform in Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie, and a terrorist-like appearance in Street Fighter II V. All have the Shadaloo mark. In the live action movie they are named Bison Troopers and wear white or red gi while training and combat armor in missions. Other members (like Zangief and Dee Jay) are seen with a red uniform.

Story[]

Street Fighter V[]

Several Shadaloo soldiers are fought by the heroes during the story modes, with four AS being fought by the player in A Shadow Falls. Abel disguised himself as a low rank soldier to gather information.

Shadaloo soldiers are also seen in the background of the Shadaloo Base and Lair of the Four Kings stages.

Street Fighter 6[]

In the "What Remains of Shadaloo" World Tour side quest, several Shadaloo soldiers are trying to find Ed to make him the new leader after Bison's death.

Other appearances[]

Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers[]

Low-Rank Shadaloo Soldiers appear as enemies in the "Way of the Hado" mode. Aside from the standard blue uniforms, there are also soldiers clad in red and dark blue.

Ranks[]

Low-Rank Soldiers[]

The Low-Rank Shadaloo Soldiers (シャドルー下級兵 Shadorū Kakyū-hei?) are the lowest soldier class in Shadaloo, a thankless job given varying tasks.

Equipment: Psycho Armor (shoulder pads), Psycho Mask, Psycho Power Receiver, Shadaloo membership card.[3]

Duties: Base security, sabotage, odd jobs, site updating.[3]

Techniques:

  • Psycho Tackle - A tackle followed by a series of punches (similar to Heartless).
  • Psycho Crusher (provisional name) - A weak reproduction of M. Bison's move. It leaves the user a bit stiff after usage.[3]

Mid-Rank Soldiers[]

The Mid-Rank Shadaloo Soldiers (シャドルー中級兵 Shadorū Chūkyū-hei?) are stronger than the low rank soldiers, being promoted after passing a test. They mainly work on base security and often accompany the Four Kings in operations on foreign countries, like following Balrog to India and F.A.N.G to Brazil in A Shadow Falls. It appears that all soldiers in this class have white eyes, likely from the influence of Psycho Power.[4]

Equipment: Psycho Armor (shoulder pads), Psycho Buckle, Psycho Beret, Psycho Power Receiver, Shadaloo membership card.[4]

Duties: Base security, sabotage, odd jobs, site updating.[4]

  • Psycho Dive Kick - A diving kick after a jump. A dangerous technique that can make the user open for a counterattack and has the risk of spraining the ankle.[4]
  • Psycho Crusher (provisional name) - A weak reproduction of M. Bison's move. It leaves the user a bit stiff after usage.

High-Rank Soldiers[]

The High-Rank Shadaloo Soldiers (シャドルー上級兵 Shadorū Jōkyū-hei?) are the elite of the Shadaloo soldiers, very few being able to overcome the challenges required to reach the rank. These red soldiers are able to use Psycho Power instead of only being strengthened by it, but only when receiving the power from M. Bison.

Equipment: Psycho Mask, Psycho Power Receiver, Shadaloo membership card.[5]

Medical Soldiers[]

The Shadaloo Medical Soldiers (シャドルー医療兵 Shadorū Iryō-hei?) are the medical staff of Shadaloo, working on the medical room in the second floor of the research facility. Although they are doctors who manage the health care of other members, they can fight quite well. Other workers can make appointments to have them do massages, but their prices are deducted from the salary of those who wants them.[6]

  • Equipment: Scalpel, Psycho Cooper Scissors, Psycho Metzenbaum Scissors, Dust Proof Gas Mask.[6]
  • Duties: Medical treatment of soldiers, biological experiments.[6]

AS[]

AS (short for Artificial Soldier) is the official name of Shadaloo soldiers that were improved with the SADP (Shadaloo Artificial soldier Development Programme), but due to the name being a bit difficult, no one in Shadaloo other than its inventor F.A.N.G uses them.[3] Four AS appear as opponents in A Shadow Falls. Players also fight all these soldiers during the Extra Battle Mode, where defeating golden versions of these soldiers will grant them some fight money.

AS-M[]

AS-M is a high rank soldier that Rashid faces in Act 1 Chapter 3 to rescue Li-Fen.

AS-D[]

AS-D is a low rank male soldier that F.A.N.G tells to face Vega to test his abilities. Despite being powered with Psycho Power, he is easily defeated.
