Description

Executed by pressing Medium Punch, then down-forward and Heavy Punch, followed by Medium Punch and Medium Kick simultaneously, M. Bison begins the combination with a punch to the gut. He then follows up with a powerful, open-handed hammer strike with his hand infused with Psycho Power. If the second attack hits, M. Bison teleports behind the opponent and delivers a vicious knee strike. He then warps in front of them one more time and hit the opponent with a second knee strike to send them tumbling to the ground.

Tactics

This is one of M. Bison's target combos. The first attack has short range, but gives him frame advantage on block. If the Standing Medium Punch hits the opponent, then he can link into the Psycho Axe to perform this target combo for respectable damage. On hit, M. Bison is +2, putting him close to his opponent for a mix-up. He can go for a throw or maintain pressure with normals. Like most target combos, Shadow Axe is unsafe on block. However, he can cancel into his V-Triggers to retain frame advantage.

When equipped with his second V-Skill, M. Bison can cancel the second hit of the original target combo to perform Shadow Pressure. While Shadow Axe leave the opponent in a standing reset and gives M. Bison frame advantage, cancelling into his Hell Warp leads to additional damage and results in a knockdown that sends the opponent almost 3/4 of the screen away from him. Shadow Pressure is also a good way for M. Bison to build V-Meter, which may result in him obtain V-Trigger more quickly.
