Description[]
Executed by charging downward then pressing upward and kick, Bison leaps into the air, with the button strength pressed determining how far he jumps forward. Afterwards, Bison can perform a Head Press by pressing Kick, descending downward with a double foot stomp while crossing his arms, or a Devil Reverse by pressing Punch, flipping backwards while engulfing his arm in Psycho Power to strike the opponent during his descent. Bison can steer Devil Reverse by moving forward or backward. He can also perform a Somersault Skull Diver by pressing Punch after a Head Press on contact with the opponent, thrusting both of his arms out while engulfed in Psycho Power.
The OD version has Bison track the opponent automatically. Devil Reverse gains an extra hit from a second palm strike, while Head Press has Bison strike the opponent with a knee drop to the back of their neck.
Tactics[]
In contrast to Head Press and Devil Reverse's previous appearances, Bison does not have an automatic attack after performing the initial Shadow Rise, nor does he automatically track the opponent. Rather, Bison can surprise the opponent by altering his jump arc to mix up his timing, trajectory, and which side he attacks from. Landing a Devil Reverse while the opponent has a Psycho Mine attached causes it to detonate, letting Bison stay safe on block or juggle for combos on hit.
