Description

Executed by pressing Medium Punch, followed by down and Heavy Kick, M. Bison begins the combination with a punch to the gut with his fist infused with Psycho Power. If the first attack connects, then M. Bison finishes the target combo with a low roundhouse kick at the opponent's legs.
Tactics
This is one of M. Bison's target combos. While the first attack has short range, his Standing Medium Punch can be difficult for the opponent to punish. If the Standing Medium Punch hits the opponent, then he can link into the second attack to hit-confirm this target combo for respectable damage. Unlike Shadow Hammer, the two attacks for this move do combo into each other. Additionally, M. Bison is -3 if the opponent blocks Shadow Spear. If the opponent is in Burnout, then Shadow Spear becomes a true low blockstring after his Standing Medium Punch connects. While Shadow Hammer has more damage potential with the floor bounce during juggle combos, Shadow Spear is safer to use.
