Description

G hitting Cammy with a vicious knee to the chin using Shining President.
Executed by pressing Light Punch and Light Kick, (the throw command) near a crouching opponent. G first grabs his opponent by the back of the head. He then lifts his back leg above the ground before violently bringing it forward. G delivers a powerful knee strike to his opponent's chin that sends the flying across the stage, causing them to land back-first on the ground. If no directional input or button is pressed, G shakes his arm out before dropping back in his stance.
Tactics
This move inflicts slightly more damage than G's forward throw. It also deals the same amount of stun as his back throw. It is crucial to mix-up G's throws with his command grab to catch his opponent off-guard and break through their defenses. While Shining President normally inflicts less damage than his command grab, it has a faster recovery. If he catches his opponent jumping while avoiding his throws, he can keep the pressure on them while maintaining frame advantage and positioning.

Trivia
- G is the third character in Street Fighter V to have a throw against a crouching opponent. The others include R. Mika's Dream Driver and Zangief's Horosho Chokeslam.
- The attack is based off of and named after the Shining Wizard, a wrestling technique in which the user strikes an opponent in a kneeling position with their leg. The move is most famously associated with professional wrestler Keiji Muto, though its execution is often done with the shin and involves stepping off the opponent's knee.
