Shintenshu is one of Akira's unique attacks, introduced in Street Fighter V.
Street Fighter V | + (Only during V-Skill II) |
---|
Description[]
Executed by pressing forward and Heavy Kick while airborne during an Air Burst, Akira performs a downward axe kick that drives her opponent down to the ground on contact.
Tactics[]
This move is only available to Akira if she is equipped with her second V-Skill. Additionally, she must be high in the air during an Air Burst in order to use this move. Shintenshu is mainly used to end Air Burst combos after using her jumping normals to inflict additional damage or push them toward the corner. With each attack that hits the opponent, the damage scaling becomes more of a factor. Also, each of Akira's jumping normals has slight damage reduction during an Air Burst. Shintenshu is Akira's strongest normal that has a downward swinging hitbox that can potentially hit her opponent if they are above or just below her. If she hits her opponent with this attack high in the air, it triggers a special impact where the opponent bounces on the ground that deals a fixed 10 damage that is unaltered by combo scaling. However, this bound effect cannot KO the opponent.
