Description[]

ShurettoSF6

Akuma dragging Cammy by the arm during Shuretto.

"Grab your opponent, and deliver a devastating downward chop. Throws your opponent while switching places with them."
Street Fighter 6

Executed by pressing Light Punch and Light Kick, (the throw command) while holding back on the control stick near an opponent, the user pulls their opponent close, bends their opponent down, then does a sharp chop to their back, dropping their foe and shifts around behind them.

Tactics[]

Akuma chopping the back of Cammy's head.

While Akuma's main gameplan is to overwhelm the opponent with powerful mid-range attack to open them up for some big damage, utilizing his throws can keep them on their heels and allow him to dictate the round. Shuretto inflicts respectable damage and results in a side switch. After the throw, Akuma is positioned somewhat close to the opponent. From there, Akuma has a variety of follow-ups. He can follow up with a meaty Crouching Medium Kick or Standing Heavy Punch for additional frame advantage. He can perform his Demon Raid to keep them guessing. Shuretto is mainly used to put the opponent back in the corner, where Akuma can potentially put them in a strike-throw mix-up upon wakeup.
