Slap Shot is one of Poison's throws, introduced in Street Fighter IV.

Description
Executed by pressing Light Punch and Light Kick, (the throw command) near an opponent. Poison grabs her opponent by the collar and pulls them close to her. She starts slapping them in the face multiple times. The number of slaps she delivers vary upon the game. In Ultra Street Fighter IV and Street Fighter X Tekken, Poison keeps her riding crop in hand as she slaps her opponent a total of eight times. However, in Street Fighter V, she puts away her whip first before delivering only four slaps to her opponent's face.
Additionally, how her opponent collapses on the final slap changes throughout the game. In Ultra Street Fighter IV and Street Fighter X Tekken, her opponent spins around once before falling to the ground. In Street Fighter V, the final slap knocks her opponent off of their feet, causing them to land back-first on the ground.

This attack helps Poison with the revised EX Whip of Love mechanic. Opponents expecting 50 50 Reset Combos can instead be thrown for a new hard knockdown. The spacing is generally more favorable than Frankensteiner. Characters such as Rose do not have throw invincibility in their reversals so Poison can exploit this as frustrated opponents tend to mash out attacks, and even if Rose players guess right with their reversal Slap Shot still can keep the momentum (and further resets) in Poison's Favor.

With the added Roll mechanic, Poison's 21 frame back dash is perfectly made to synergize with Slap Shot. After a successful Slap Shot connection Poison can back dash and detect the actions of her opponents. If the opponent rolls Poison can simply put them back in the corner with Frankensteiner and if the opponent does not she can try and frame trap with hard punch Aeolus Edge. From there if the opponent hits Poison can do a whip of love combo or Cross Rush combo into a partner that can do more damage (as Poison doesn't do much damage on her own in this game and suffers greatly from Damage Scaling).
However Poison is considered an underpowered character in this game and even though she has an overhead she is actually negative on hit in terms of frame data. Meaning Poison on her own can not back up her frame locking potential and needs to scare her opponents with Slap Shot so they fall for her Cross Rush attempts so her higher damage partners can benefit from the scenarios Poison creates.

This can be used in tandem with her overhead and blockstrings on opponents who continuously block. Slap Shot inflicts less damage and stun, compared to her back throw. However, it leaves her opponent very close to her, giving Poison excellent okizeme.

In Street Fighter V, Poison has a variety of follow-up options after connecting with Slap Shot. She can fish for Crush Counter hits with a meaty Standing Heavy Kick if her opponent quick rises. Poison can also use Standing Heavy Punch as another meaty option. Even if her opponent blocks Standing Heavy Punch, she can cancel into EX Medium Heart Raid to pulls her opponent close to her, as well as give herself frame advantage. From there, she can keep her opponent guessing by maintaining pressure with strong normals or go for another throw.
