"Not to be confused with F.A.N.G, a character from Street Fighter V"

The Snake Fang is one of Necro's special attacks, introduced in the Street Fighter III series.

Input
All appearances Half circle forward+Kick

Description

Executed by performing a half-circle forward motion and pressing kick, Necro crouches, stretches his arm out and grabs at his opponent's ankle. If the opponent does not block low, he grabs and flings them a great distance behind him. The move can be low blocked but cannot be low parried.

If the opponent is back-turned, Necro will do a German Suplex.

Tactics

The attack has good range, and it's usefulness comes from the relatively high amount of damage it does, and the fact that its throwing distance often puts the opponent in the corner.[1] It is also excellent for poking. All three versions are on frame 12, the stronger version delivers more damage at the cost of recovery. It can also create some distance if the opponent blocks.

Trivia

  • Although perhaps a coincidence, this move works and looks similarly to The King of Fighters' characters Vice and Mature's Deicide. Aside from having the same input (half-circle forward + kick), both moves are hit grabs (meaning it can be blocked), the character is able to extend their arm unnaturally far away, it launches the opponent to the other side of the screen, and the three characters are associated with snakes — in the case of Vice and Mature, both are followers of Orochi, whose name derives from the mystical serpent Yamata no Orochi.
