Street Fighter V Arcade Stick CBArcade-Stick-Right+Arcade Button Punch

Description

Sotoja

Executed by charging backward, then pressing forward and punch, F.A.N.G lunges forward and throws his poisoned-tipped hands toward his opponent.

Tactics

This move is one of F.A.N.G's primary combo enders. It is also an effective poke that can be used to negate fireballs. Each version is a 2-hit move that can absorb two fireball hits when used defensively. The Sotoja is a great pressure tool at the mid range.

The strength of the punch button determines the move's startup, range and damage output. The Light version has the fastest startup, but the shortest range. It also inflicts the least amount of damage. The Heavy version has the inflicts more damage and has a longer range. However, it has the longest startup. The EX version has the fastest startup and similar range to the Heavy version. Besides inflicting the most damage, the EX version is also the safest on block.

Each version causes knockdown. While the damage output of this move is minimal, it puts the opponent in a poisoned state. His opponent will slowly lose life until the poison runs out or unless F.A.N.G is hit. The Sotoja will also leave F.A.N.G fairly close to his opponent. As his opponent is recovering, F.A.N.G can put them in a tricky mix-up situation or retreat to keep his distance.

Overall, this is a solid move for F.A.N.G. However, it's important to recognize where it is safe and effective to use it.
