Description

Executed by pressing Heavy Punch and Heavy Kick simultaneously, Rose raises her arms energetically as Soul Power radiates through her upper body. Pressing Heavy Punch and Heavy Kick teleports her to the opposite side of the screen near the opponent to perform Soul Terra. By pressing back, plus Heavy Punch and Heavy Kick, Rose performs Soul Mare; reappearing further away from the opponent. By pressing back, plus Heavy Punch and Heavy Kick, Rose performs Soul Cielo; reappearing above and behind the opponent. Soul Dimension can be used twice upon activation, and can be used in the air.

Tactics

Soul Dimension allows Rose to create mix-up opportunities to her opponent on their heels. By throwing a projectile and performing one of her teleports, Rose can create an ambiguous blocking scenario and easily cause her opponent to make a mistake. Soul Dimension can also be used during her combos. She can cancel one of her V-Trigger teleports from her special moves, such as Soul Punish or Soul Spiral. Her teleport can also be performed while she is in the air, allowing Rose to perform exciting juggle combos.

Finally, this V-Trigger is one of Rose's best options to escape pressure. With Soul Mare, Rose can create separation between herself and her opponent; thus allowing her to zoning with her long-range normals and projectiles. This can also make some of Rose's unsafe moves more difficult for her opponent to punish. For example, Rose can cancel her EX Soul Spiral, which is -26 on block, into Soul Mare to retreat away from her opponent.

Compared to her second V-Trigger, Rose can use Soul Dimension for a longer period of time. Each teleportation consumes half of Rose's V-Gauge, meaning that she has no more than two chances to use it. While Rose's second V-Trigger lets her perform creative and damaging combos, it's only active for about seven seconds and lacks flexibility to pressure the opponent. Soul Dimension allows Rose to control the space and the pace of the round.
