Cammy performing her Spinning Attack.

"Spinning Axe!"

Spinning Attack is Cammy's second V-Skill in Street Fighter V.

Street Fighter V Arcade-Button-MPunch+Arcade-Button-MKick

Executed by pressing Medium Punch and Medium Kick simultaneously, Cammy hops backwards and delivers a spinning heel kick before somersaulting to the ground. If no directional input or button is pressed, Cammy lands in a crouching position and hops back to her stance.

While her first V-Skill gives Cammy a tool to slip past projectiles and potentially switch sides with her opponent, Spinning Attack helps Cammy in the neutral game. It has a faster startup than her Axel Spin Knuckle at 15-frames. It also can be linked from most of Cammy's normals, such as Standing Heavy Punch. She is airborne during the active frames of this attack. This not only allows her to avoid low profile attacks, but she's also safe from her opponent's throws.

It is mainly used to end combos. It inflicts more damage than her first V-Skill. Additionally, unlike Quick Spin Knuckle, it results in a knockdown on hit. Cammy also gets great okizeme afterwards. She can safely dash forward and suffocate her opponent with her fast normals, throws, or utilize shimmies to open their defenses. However, it is -6 on block, making it less safe than her first V-Skill. However, it can be hard to punish if properly spaced. In addition, Cammy hops backwards as she delivers the kick, giving herself enough spacing to be out of range from her opponent's faster normals.

Not only Spinning Attack can end combos, but she can also use this in the neutral game. Her offensive pressure gains an extra element as she's smothering her opponent with plus frame normals and fast walk speed. As her opponent tries to counter with their own normals or throw her back in the corner, Cammy can use Spinning Attack to surprise them and regain positional advantage. Additionally, she gains V-Meter on hit and on block. This gives Cammy a tool to safely build V-Meter without having to sacrifice at least half of her health.

Finally, her second V-Skill is another one of Cammy's Crush Counter attacks. When this move lands when the opponent is in the process of starting up their attack, it triggers a Crush Counter effect, rather than a regular Counter Hit. This puts her opponent in a juggle state. While in midscreen, she can perform Heavy Spiral Arrow to push them further into the corner. If Cammy has her opponent in the corner, she can follow up with Cannon Spike for more damage, or to set up her Critical Art.

  • The kick that Cammy performs for this attack performs is visually similar to her V-Reversal.
    • It is also similar to the last hit of her Cross Art.
