Description

Spinning Back Knuckle

Executed by pressing forward and Heavy Punch (or pressing forward and Heavy Attack for Modern Control), the user rotates and steps toward the opponent. They extend their arm out and clubs across the head using the back of their fist. The user finishes by stepping back to a neutral position. In Street Fighter 6, Guile uses his front foot as a pivot to spin toward the opponent during the follow through of the attack.

Tactics

SpinningBackKnuckle

While the startup for this attack is long, this move is one Guile's and Nash's longest normals. It is a far-ranged poke that's good for keeping the opponent at a distance, as well as stopping them from walking forward or about to jump. This move is also a good anti-air tool if the opponent empty jumps at a range that is safe from all of Guile's other buttons. Additionally, it can be used to fish for Crush Counter hits, leading into some big damage. Then again, it is unsafe on block, unless the user hits this move at max range.

In Street Fighter 6, it is repurposed as an advancing technique that is slow, but advantageous on block. If Guile is close enough to the opponent, he can combo afterward on hit.
