Sprint
"Swiftly dash forward to close the distance with your opponent, during which a variety of moves can be performed."
Street Fighter 6

The Sprint (疾駆け Shikakke?) is one of Kimberly's special attacks, introduced in Street Fighter 6. It is a variant of the Hayagake, used by Guy, Maki, and Zeku in previous games.

Classic Arcade Stick QCF+Arcade Button Kick
Modern Arcade Stick Right+Modern SP

Description[]

Executed by performing a quarter circle forward motion and pressing kick (or pressing forward and Special Attack for Modern Control), Kimberly quickly runs towards her opponent while leaning forward with her arms outstretched behind her.

This attack has multiple follow-ups:

Emergency Stop[]

"Halt Sprint's movement to adjust the distance you cover or as a way to reduce how much you leave yourself open following a Sprint."

Emergency Stop (急停止 Kyūteishi?) is executed by pressing punch (or back and any attack button for Modern Control) during Sprint. Kimberly quickly skids to a halt. This is the only move in her arsenal that is not an attack. The primary purpose of braking is to extend pressure. Canceling into Emergency Stop can potentially keep her opponent on their heels. While they are still on the defense and anticipating what move Kimberly may perform next, she is in range to perform one of her throws, overheads, or low attacks.

Torso Cleaver[]

"A somersault kick performed from sprint. Effective as an anti-air attack targeting opponents who tend to jump around a lot."

Torso Cleaver (胴刎ね Dōhane?) is executed by pressing Light Kick (or any attack button for Modern Control) during Sprint. Kimberly spins and flips while delivering a flip kick that knocks the opponent in the air. This move can be used as an anti-air attack, but she has more reliable options. While this move has a lengthy startup, it is safe on block. It results in a knockdown on hit and creates separation. This allows Kimberly to follow up by throwing Shuriken Bombs or dash forward to close the distance.

Shadow Slide[]

"A sliding attack aimed at an opponent's feet, performed from Sprint. It is a low attack that cannot be blocked standing, and is effective when used as a surprise attack from a distance."
Street Fighter 6

Shadow Slide (影すくい Kagesukui?, Shadow Scoop) is executed by pressing Medium Kick (or pressing down and any attack button for Modern Control) during Sprint. Kimberly performs a long sliding kick. This move gives Kimberly a low profile during the startup and active frames of this attack, allowing her to slide underneath projectiles to punish the opponent. This move can be used to end combos or to catch the opponent off-guard if they are expecting an overhead.

Neck Hunter[]

"An overhead swinging kick performed from Sprint. It cannot be blocked crouching, and is useful as a way to break through an opponent's guard."

Neck Hunter (首狩り Kubikari?) is executed by pressing Heavy Kick (or pressing forward and any attack button for Modern Control) during Sprint. Kimberly performs a downward roundhouse kick. This move is Kimberly's overhead option. While it leaves her -3 on block, it can be difficult for the opponent to punish if spaced correctly. She can use Neck Hunter to catch the opponent on their heels if they are expecting the slide.

Arc Step[]

Arc Step (弧空 Kokū?, Sky Arc) is executed when Kimberly approaches her opponent when no button is pressed during Sprint. Kimberly runs at the opponent's chest, using her momentum to jump and flip off of their body. This move pushes the opponent back, making it safe on block for the most part. If no button is pressed during the flip, Kimberly lands about 1/4 of the screen away from the opponent. This move can only be used if the opponent is on the ground. If Kimberly sprints toward an airborne opponent, she runs underneath them and to the other side of the screen.

This also has two follow-ups:

Bushin Izuna Otoshi[]

"A throw attack performed from Arc Step in which you leap onto and grab your opponent. Useful against opponents who keep their guard up after blocking Arc Step."

Bushin Izuna Otoshi (武神イズナ落とし Bushin Izuna Otoshi?, Martial God Izuna Drop) is executed by pressing punch (or any attack button for Modern Control) during Arc Step. Kimberly dives head first toward her opponent. Once in range, Kimberly swings around her opponent until she is upside-down behind them with her hands underneath their armpits. With great momentum, she returns to neutral position while holding her opponent upside-down. Kimberly then delivers a powerbomb, driving her opponent onto the back of their neck. This is Kimberly's command grab option during Arc Step. It can hit the opponent when they are standing or crouching. The only way to avoid this attack is to jump, which is ineffective against the dive kick option. The Overdrive version causes a ground bounce, allowing Kimberly to continue the combo.

Bushin Hojin Kick[]

"A move performed from Arc Step in which you descend diagonally with a swift kick. Useful in combos and as a way to lock down opponents who try to move after Arc Step."

Bushin Hojin Kick (武神鉾刃脚 Bushin Hōjinkyaku?, Martial God Halberd Leg) is executed by pressing punch (or pressing down and any attack button for Modern Control) during Arc Step. Kimberly performs a sharp-angled dive kick. This is Kimberly's attack option during Arc Step. It's mainly used to end combos or to catch the opponent by surprise if they jump back in anticipation of a command grab. Despite the mix-up, Bushin Hojin Kick is unsafe on block. The Overdrive version does a second kick, knocking her opponent backward. In the corner, it causes a wall splat, allowing Kimberly to tack on more damage.
